OTET exam pattern 2024 has been prescribed by the BSE Odisha. The OTET exam comprises two papers- Paper 1 and Paper 2. Candidates need to appear for OTET Paper 1 if they want to teach Classes 1-5 and candidates need to appear for Paper 2 if they want to teach Classes 6-8. The OTET exam pattern differs for both papers- Paper 1 and Paper 2 in terms of the number of subjects and the total number of questions. OTET Exam Pattern 2024 for Paper 1
OTET exam pattern 2024 for Paper 1 is such that there will be 150 multiple choice questions in the exam that candidates need to complete in 2.5 hours duration. For further clarification, candidates can refer the table below:

It may be noted that in each subject area 20 questions will be from contents and 10 questions from Pedagogy.
Marking scheme: One mark will be awarded for each correct answer. There will be no negative marking in the exam.

OTET Exam Pattern 2024 for Paper 2
Similar to the pattern for Paper 1, OTET 2024 exam pattern for Paper 2 is such that the question paper will contain a total of 150 objective-type multiple-choice questions. The duration of the exam will be 2.5 hours.

Marking scheme: Candidates will be awarded one mark for each correct answer. No mark will be deducted for any incorrect answer.
