RBI Grade B analysis 2024 for the prelims exam is available now. According to students, the overall difficulty level of the exam was moderate. The General Awareness section was easy to moderate, English Language was easy to moderate, Reasoning Ability was moderate and Quant was moderate to difficult. A:

The difficulty level of RBI Grade B Phase 1 exam is usually moderate to difficult. In 2022, the difficulty level of the English section was easy whereas the Quant section was calculative. Current Affairs questions were asked from the recent events that took place in May and April 2022. In General Awareness, there were questions on Budget. Static GK questions were very less. The Reasoning section was difficult and time-consuming. In Quant, questions were asked from Compound Interest and Simple Interest, Quadratic Equation. Reasoning questions were asked from Seating Arrangement, Paragraph Based questions, Statement Based questions. There were two Reading Comprehension in English section.

Q:   How tough is RBI Grade B exam?

RBI Grade B is considered to be a challenging exam and it tests candidates knowledge of economic, finance, and management. The exam is conducted in three phases-Phase 1, 2 and Interview. The Paper 1 exam is held for 200 marks while Phase 3 carries 300 marks. The interview carries 75 marks. The difficulty level of each phase varies, with Phase II being generally considered the toughest. However, with proper preparation and practice, candidates can certainly crack the exam. Q:   What is the difficulty level of RBI Grade B Phase 2 exam?

A:

The difficulty level of the Phase 2 exam is easy to moderate. In 2022, the descriptive paper was easy while the objective paper was moderate. Questions in the subjective paper were asked from LTRO, resistance to change and how to avoid, India's role in 2008 financial crisis, blockerchain disrupt banking, what are the barriers to interpersonal communication and how to overcome it,  managers' role in encouraging ethical behaviour in an organisation. The objective paper carried around four to five questions on RBI notification Legal Entity Identifier (LEI), Payments Infrastructure Development Fund (PIDF). In the Management part, there were application-based questions. There were questions on five model personalities, motivation. In Finance, questions were asked from CSIR, defination of small industries, etc. The questions asked in Economics and Social Issues were easy.

RBI Grade B Exam Pattern 2024

The exam pattern for RBI Grade B Phase-I and II is given below.

Phase-I exam

RBI Grade B Phase-I exam for Grade B-General post carried 200 questions from General Awareness, English Language, Quantitative Aptitude, and Reasoning. The duration of the test was 120 minutes, with sectional timings. All the sections except the English Language were available bilingually, that is, both in English and in Hindi. For the correct answers, one mark is awarded to candidates while 0.25 marks are deducted for incorrect answers. 

Phase-II exam

This year, RBI has revised the pattern of the Phase-II exam. The test comprises three papers: Paper-I, II, and III. Paper-I and III comprise both objective and descriptive type questions while the Paper-II exam comprises only descriptive paper. The duration of Paper I and III are 120 minutes while Paper-II is held for 90 minutes. The total marks of the test are 300, each section is for 100 marks.

RBI Grade B Marking Scheme

There are negative marks for wrong answers in the Phase 1 exam. For correct answers, candidates get one mark. The total marks are calculated based on the number of correct and incorrect answers.

Q:   Are there any sectional timings in the RBI Grade B exam?

A:
There are sectional timings in Phase 1 of RBI Grade B exam. The prelims exam is conducted for 120 minutes. Candidates need to attempt the different sections of the prelims exam as per the allotted time frame. Paper 1 and 3 of the Mains exam are held for 120 minutes. The Paper 2 of the Mains exam is conducted for 90 minutes. The total marks allotted to the prelims exam are 200. The total marks allotted to the Mains exam are 300. The total marks allotted to interview are 75 marks. In Phase-I, 25 minutes each are allotted to General Awareness, English Language and Quantitative Aptitude while 45 minutes are allotted to Reasoning.

A total of 200 questions will be asked in Phase I of RBI Grade B. The objective part of Paper-I and III of Phase II carries a total of 30 questions, while the descriptive part carries a total of six questions. The Paper-II of Phase II carries a total of three questions. The Phase 1 of RBI Grade B exam carries questions from General Awareness, English Language, Quantitative Aptitude and Reasoning. RBI Grade B Phase 2 Exam Analysis 2022

The overall paper was easy to moderate. The descriptive paper was easy while the objective paper was moderate. There were 8 to 10 fact-based questions. In the Management part, there were application-based questions. There were questions on five model personalities, motivation. The Management portion was easy. In Finance, questions were asked from CSIR, defination of small industries, etc. The questions asked in Economics and Social Issues were easy.

The objective paper was tough and the descriptive was easy. Questions asked under 15 marks were asked from what is meant by econmic reforms and explain all the types of the economic reforms from 1990 till date, financial stability is an essential tool in any business, although urbanisation is spread to villages, race, caste, gender dicrimation is rampant in this light about the challenges faced. Several students said that they faced issues in time management. 10 marks questions in this paper was asked from monetary policy framework in India, what is NBFC and how it is different from bank and mention five types of NBFCs registered with RBI. rural enterpreneurship. Objective type questions were asked from one nation one ration card scheme, sumit, foreign trade policy, smile scheme for transgender, world bank report from 2018, RBI interface, etc.

The English section was moderate in terms of difficulty level. Questions were asked from essay and topics were medical tourism, women entrepreneurship, glasgow conference. The precise was asked from Space Exploration. The Reading Comprehension questions were asked from derivatives. 

Paper III (Finance and Management) was conducted in the morning shift, followed by Paper I (Economics and Social Issues) and Paper II (English) in the afternoon shift without any break between Paper I and Paper II.

The Phase-I exam of RBI Grade B 2021 was conducted on March 6. The overall difficulty level of RBI Grade B exam was moderate. The majority of the questions in this section were based on banking awareness. There were also questions from current affairs. Questions were asked from the policies and schemes of RBI such as repo rates, PM Kushal Yojana, PM Kisan Nidhi, Good Governance Day, RBI financial report, RBI rates, Union Budget, Economic Survey, etc.

Quantitative Aptitude

RBI Grade B Exam Analysis 2021 for Phase-II

The Phase-II exam of RBI Grade B for Officers in Grade B (General) was conducted on April 1 in two shifts. In the morning shift, Paper-III was conducted. The Paper-III was in Finance and Management. Paper-I Economics and Social Issues and II English Writing were conducted in the afternoon shift. In terms of difficulty level, Paper-I was difficult, Paper-II was easy and Paper-III was moderate.

Paper-I (Economics and Social Issues)

Objective section

There were 20 MCQ questions of two marks and 10 questions were for one mark. In two marks question, one question was asked from Pradhan Mantri Kishan Yojna, Financial Assistant, Labour reforms, etc. One paragraph was asked from OECD. One question was asked on which organisation has forecasted India’s GDP.

Paper-II English

There were questions from Essay Writing, Reading Comprehension and Precis Writing. The distribution of questions is given below.

Paper-III

Paper-III of RBI Grade B Phase-II exam comprised both descriptive and objective type questions. The objective section carried 30 questions and total marks allotted to the test were 50. Time allotted to complete the objective section was 30. Six questions were asked in the descriptive section, out of which candidates had to attempt four questions. Two questions were of 15 marks and two questions were of 10 marks. The maximum marks allotted to this section are 50 and the duration for this section was 90 minutes.

Q:   What is RBI Grade B Syllabus?

RBI Grade B syllabus consists of four sections in prelims and three sections in the Mains exam. RBI Grade B syllabus for Phase 1 exam comprises General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude English Language, and Reasoning. The Phase 2 exam consists of three papers where Paper 1 is Economic & Social Issues, Paper 2 is English (Writing Skills) and Paper 3 is Finance & Management. The total marks allotted to the phase 1 exam are 200. The Phase 2 exam carries a total of 300 marks. The total marks allotted to interview are 75.
