The prelims exam of SBI Clerk is conducted in four shifts while the Mains exam is conducted in two shifts. SBI Clerk prelims and mains exams are conducted in more than 170 cities spread throughout the country. Candidates can enter their preferences of exam cities while filling the application form. The list of test cities for SBI Clerk prelims and mains exam is given below.

You can choose one SBI Clerk exam centre each for preliminary and Mains exams. The details regarding the exam centres are mentioned on the admit card. Candidates against whom there is/ are adverse report regarding character & antecedents, moral turpitude etc. are not eligible to apply for the post. Candidates who have defaulted in repayment under any lending arrangement with Banks or NBFCs including credit card dues and have not regularized / repaid their outstanding thereunder till the date of issuance of letter of offer of appointment by the Bank, are not eligible for appointment to the post. However, candidates who have regularised/repaid such outstanding on or before the date of issuance of offer of appointment but whose CIBIL status has not been updated till then on or before the date of joining, have to either get the CIBIL status updated or produce the NOCs from the lender to the effect that there is no outstanding with respect to the accounts adversely reflected in the CIBIL, failing which the letter of offer shall be withdrawn/ cancelled.

Candidates who are working in SBI in the Clerical cadre are not eligible to apply under this project. Candidates who were earlier employed in State Bank of India and resigned from the Bank while in clerical cadre will also be not eligible to apply for the post. Only online applications are accepted for the exam.
