SBI Clerk Salary 2024: Check Revised Pay Scale & In Hand Salary

The starting basic pay of SBI Clerk is INR 26,730 (INR 24050 plus two advance increments). Candidates can calculate their salaries by adding basic salary, HRA, city compensation, provident fund and pension contributions. The basic pay is INR 17,900, however, with two advance increments, the starting basic salary is INR 19,900.

The basic salary of SBI Clerk is INR 17,900 with an increment of INR 1000. After three years, the basic SBI Clerk salary will be INR 20,900 with an annual increment of INR 1230. Again, after three years, candidates will get basic pay of INR 24,590 with an increment of INR 1490. The maximum basic salary will reach upto INR 47,920 after certain period. 

You cannot become a probationary officer (PO) through promotions. However, after three or six years of service as an SBI Clerk you can become an officer. From the clerk position, you have two options for becoming an officer at SBI: 1. You are eligible to join the SBI as a trainee officer (TO) following three years of service. You need to have both JAIIB and CAIIB certifications. After that, you'll need to pass an internal exam that consists of a written test, an interview, and a group discussion. 2. You can advance to the JMGS Scale 1 officer position in the SBI after serving as a clerk for six years. You must also pass an internal exam for this position, but it is much simpler than the TO exam.

Earlier, the payscale of SBI Clerk was INR 11765-655/ 3-13730-815/ 3-16175-980/ 4-20095-1145/7-28110-2120/ 1-30230-1310/1-31450. The starting basic pay was INR 13,075 (INR 11765 with two advance increments admissible to graduates).

The total starting emoluments given to the Junior Associates in the metro city such as Mumbai are around INR 29,000 per month, inclusive of DA and other allowances as per the current rate. Besides, two additional increments are given to newly recruited graduate Junior Associates. Earlier, the total starting emoluments for metro cities was INR 26,000. Allowances also vary depending on the place of posting.
