This year the paper was comparatively easy in comparison to the previous years. This is the reason that the IAS 2024 cutoff is expected to remain high. This year, the Indian Polity and Geography section had a major share in the total number of questions. & Subject to 10% marks in each of the seven competitive papers i.e. Essay, GS-I, GS-II, GS-III, GS-IV, Optional-I and Optional-II.
IAS cutoff 2022 defines the difficulty level of the exam. Low cutoff means the paper was difficult. IAS cutoff 2022 for the prelims exam is expected to remain low due to two reasons. First, the IAS prelims question paper was more difficult in comparison to the previous year and secondly, the number of vacancies is more than 1,000 this year which is the largest number in the recent past. Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) will release the official cutoff after the completion of the exam result. IAS prelims result 2022 was declared on June 22 mentioning the roll number of the candidates.
Shruti Sharma shared her strategy for IAS preparation. IAS cutoff is dependent on three important factors. The expected cutoff for the IAS 2022 (prelims) exam will be lower than the previous years. UPSC asked about the correctness of the number of options rather than giving options to the candidates. These questions will influence the overall cutoff of the IAS prelims exam. Going deeper into the paper, the candidates must see the subject-wise breakup of the paper with the difficulty level of the questions. The candidates can see the IAS exam analysis 2022 with questions breakup and video.
The candidates can read below the factors and conditions that influence the overall cutoff of the IAS prelims exam. It is very difficult to predict the cutoff of the Civil Service Examination at this point in time. But, based on the inputs coming from the candidates, the expected cutoff for the IAS prelims 2022 exam will remain around 85 to 95 marks. The candidates can check here the IAS cutoff of previous years as released by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC). The official cutoff for the IAS 2022 exam will be released after the completion of the exam process.
