SBI Clerk Exam Centres 2023 for Prelims & Main: State-wise Test Cities List

You can choose one SBI Clerk exam centre each for preliminary and Mains exams. The details regarding the exam centres are mentioned on the admit card. Candidates are allotted exam centres as per their preferences. The examination authority reserves the right to allot exam centres to candidates. The exam centre once chosen by candidates cannot be changed. The centres are allotted as per the preferences by candidates. However, in case of unavailability of exam centres, candidates are allotted to the next available centre. The prelims and mains exams of SBI Clerk is conducted at around 200 cities. • From the career page of SBI, go to the advertisement ‘Recruitment of Junior Associate (Customer Support) and sales’
• Click on the ‘SBI Clerk Apply Online’ link
• Candidates need to first complete the registration process
• With the generated registration ID and password, candidates can fill the detailed application form wherein they can choose one exam city each for the prelims and mains exams
• After selecting the exam centres, candidates can save the selection
• Exam centres are allotted to candidates based on their preferences

The prelims exam of SBI Clerk is conducted in four shifts while the Mains exam is conducted in two shifts. SBI Clerk exam day guidelines are given below:

• Candidates need to carry the prelims admit card along with the Mains admit card to the exam centre
• Candidates must paste their photographs on the admit card and staple the photocopy of the photo-identity proof
• Candidates must bring two additional photographs, the same as the one pasted on the admit card. Without the two additional photographs, candidates are not allowed to appear for the exam. Candidates must bring glue for pasting the photos on attendance sheets
• The photograph affixed on the admit card should match the one uploaded in the online application form, failing which candidates may not appear for the exam

SBI Clerk exam day guidelines related to dress code are given below:

• Candidates must wear light clothes which cannot be used for hiding any instruments or communication devices
• They can wear half sleeves clothes but not with big buttons or any badge, brooches etc.
• Candidates must wear slippers, sandals and not shoes
• However, candidates coming in customary/religious dresses should report at the centre at least 20 minute prior to reporting time for proper checking
• Candidates are advised not to avoid wearing ornaments such as ring, earrings, nose-pin, chain/necklace, pendants, badge, brooch etc.

The following items are not allowed inside SBI Clerk exam centre:

• Any stationary item such as textual material (printed or written), bits of papers, geometry/pencil box, plastic pouch, calculator, scale, writing pad, pen drives, log table, electronic pen/scanner are not allowed
• Any communication device such as bluetooth, earphones, microphone, pager, health band, etc. is not allowed.
• Other items such as goggles, handbags, hair-pin, hair-band, belt, cap, watch, camera, any metallic item, any eatable item opened or packed, any other item which could be used for unfair means for hiding communication devices such as camera, blue tooth devices, etc. are not allowed

Both SBI Clerk and IBPS Clerk exams are competitive and require dedicated preparation. However, it is difficult to say which one is more difficult as the level of difficulty can vary from year to year and also depends on an individual’s strengths and weaknesses. It is best to thoroughly prepare for both exams and attempt them to the best of your abilities. The syllabus and pattern of SBI Clerk and IBPS Clerk are almost similar. The selection process of SBI Clerk and IBPS Clerk exam include prelims and mains exams. However, candidates appearing for the SBI Clerk exam are required to appear for Language Proficiency Test after qualifying the mains exam. The prelims exam of IBPS Clerk and SBI Clerk comprises three sections- English Language, Numerical Ability, and Reasoning Ability. The prelims exam is conducted for 100 marks. The mains exam of IBPS Clerk and SBI Clerk comprises General/ Financial Awareness, General English, Quantitative Aptitude and Reasoning Ability & Computer Aptitude. The total marks allotted to the test are 200.

• Candidates must report at SBI Clerk exam centre 15 minutes before the reporting time
• Taking into account the social distancing norms, email and SMS will be forwarded to the candidates a day prior to the examination specifying the exact time of reporting to avoid over-crowding at the venue.
• Latecomers will not be allowed to take the test. Candidates will not be permitted to leave the examination hall till the time the test is over

Candidates must bring the admit card with a valid ID proof such as PAN Card/Passport/Permanent Driving License/Voter’s Card/Photo Identity proof with photograph issued by a Gazetted Officer (on official letterhead)/Photo Identity proof issued by a People’s Representative along with a photograph (on official letterhead)/Identity Card issued by a recognised College/ University/Aadhar/E-Aadhar Card with a photograph /Bar Council ID Card with photograph/Employee ID) in original as well as a photocopy. Ration Card and Learner’s Driving License will not be accepted as valid ID proof.

The SBI Clerk works in the capacity of a junior associate at the State Bank of India. Their total monthly salary includes: 1. Basic pay: INR 19,900 2. Dearness allowance: INR 6,352 3. House rent allowance: INR 2091 4. Special allowance: INR 3,263 5. Other pay such as transport allowance as mandated time to time The in-hand salary, including deductions, is around INR 30,600 (approximately) for an SBI Clerk. In addition to this salary SBI Clerk gets other perks also such as medical benefits, city allowance etc.

The process of candidate's registration at the SBI Clerk exam centre is given below:

Yes, candidates are required to carry the SBI Clerk prelims admit card for the Mains exam. They are also required to carry the Mains admit card along with the prelims admit card. Candidates not carrying the prelims admit card are not allowed to appear for the Mains exam. Candidates should retain the authenticated copy of the prelims exam as well as the photo-identity proof.
