SBI Clerk 2024 Centres: State Bank of India (SBI) conducts the prelims and mains exams of SBI Clerk in multiple test centres in more than 170 cities. The details related to SBI Clerk exam centres for the prelims exam are mentioned on the admit card. Q:   What are the SBI Clerk exam day guidelines?

A:

SBI Clerk exam day guidelines are given below:

  • Candidates need to carry the prelims admit card along with the Mains admit card to the exam centre
  • Candidates must paste their photographs on the admit card and staple the photocopy of the photo-identity proof
  • Candidates must bring two additional photographs, the same as the one pasted on the admit card. Without the two additional photographs, candidates are not allowed to appear for the exam. Candidates must bring glue for pasting the photos on attendance sheets
  • The photograph affixed on the admit card should match the one uploaded in the online application form, failing which candidates may not appear for the exam

SBI releases the list of SBI Clerk exam cities along with the notification. The prelims and mains exams are conducted at multiple SBI Clerk exam centres spread throughout the country. The prelims and mains exams of SBI Clerk are conducted in more than 170 cities. While filling the SBI Clerk application form, candidates are required to select one exam city. Few important points related to SBI Clerk exam centres are given below:

  • Candidates are required to choose the name of the SBI Clerk exam centre where they want to appear in the exam 
  • SBI reserves the right to cancel any of the exam centres or add some other centres at its discretion depending upon the response, administrative feasibility, etc. 
  • Candidates are allotted to any SBI Clerk exam centre other than the one selected by them in case there is no seat in the centre chosen by them
  • Candidates need to appear for the exam at the centre allotted to them 
  • Candidates can select one centre each for preliminary and mains exams while filling SBI Clerk application form

Q:   What are the guidelines related to dress code for SBI Clerk exam?

A:

SBI Clerk exam day guidelines related to dress code are given below:

  • Candidates must wear light clothes which cannot be used for hiding any instruments or communication devices
  • They can wear half sleeves clothes but not with big buttons or any badge, brooches etc.
  • Candidates must wear slippers, sandals and not shoes
  • However, candidates coming in customary/religious dresses should report at the centre at least 20 minute prior to reporting time for proper checking
  • Candidates are advised not to avoid wearing ornaments such as ring, earrings, nose-pin, chain/necklace, pendants, badge, brooch etc.

The following items are not allowed inside SBI Clerk exam centre:

  • Any stationary item such as textual material (printed or written), bits of papers, geometry/pencil box, plastic pouch, calculator, scale, writing pad, pen drives, log table, electronic pen/scanner are not allowed
  • Any communication device such as bluetooth, earphones, microphone, pager, health band, etc. is not allowed.
  • Other items such as goggles, handbags, hair-pin, hair-band, belt, cap, watch, camera, any metallic item, any eatable item opened or packed, any other item which could be used for unfair means for hiding communication devices such as camera, blue tooth devices, etc. are not allowed

SBI Clerk Application Form

SBI Clerk application form is released online by the official website. The application process comprises registration, uploading of scanned photograph and signature, filling the detailed application form, previewing the application process, uploading the left thumb impression and handwritten declaration and fee payment. SBI Clerk application form fee is INR 750 for the General and OBC categories. However, SC/ ST/ PWD/ XS candidates are exempted from paying the application fees. Candidates are required to select one exam centre for the prelims and mains exams.

SBI Clerk Admit Card

SBI Clerk admit card is an important document without which candidates are not allowed to appear for the exam. The admit card is released separately for prelims and mains exams. The prelims admit card is issued to all the registered. SBI Clerk admit card for the mains exam is released for candidates who qualify the prelims exam. To download the admit card, candidates need to enter registration number or roll number and date of birtn or password. The hard copy of the admit card is not to candidates by post.

Q:   Is SBI Clerk exam more difficult than IBPS Clerk?

A:

Both SBI Clerk and IBPS Clerk exams are competitive and require dedicated preparation. However, it is difficult to say which one is more difficult as the level of difficulty can vary from year to year and also depends on an individual’s strengths and weaknesses. It is best to thoroughly prepare for both exams and attempt them to the best of your abilities. The syllabus and pattern of SBI Clerk and IBPS Clerk are almost similar. The selection process of SBI Clerk and IBPS Clerk exam include prelims and mains exams. However, candidates appearing for the SBI Clerk exam are required to appear for Language Proficiency Test after qualifying the mains exam. The prelims exam of IBPS Clerk and SBI Clerk comprises three sections- English Language, Numerical Ability, and Reasoning Ability. The prelims exam is conducted for 100 marks. The mains exam of IBPS Clerk and SBI Clerk comprises General/ Financial Awareness, General English, Quantitative Aptitude and Reasoning Ability & Computer Aptitude. The total marks allotted to the test are 200.
