SSC CGL 2022 Final Vacancies
The Staff Selection Commission has reduced the SSC CGL 2022 vacancies again. The Commission reduces the SSC CGL 2022 vacancies from 36,012 to 36,001. The Commission released a revised final vacancy list on May 11, 2023. The candidates can download here the SSC CGL 2022 vacancy list for future reference.

Earlier also, the Staff Selection Commission released the final SSC CGL 2022 vacancy list on April 26, 2023, reducing the number of vacancies from 37,409 to 36,012. In addition to the vacancy list, the Commission also released the names of posts for which the Computer Knowledge Test will have the higher qualifying standards. This had a profound effect on the selection of candidates and the higher standard may render various candidates in-eligible for the selection of such posts.

The Commission released the SSC CGL vacancies on February 7, 2023. The Commission declared 37,409 vacancies for the SSC CGL 2022 exam. The number of SSC CGL vacancies are much higher than the expectation. This will be the golden chance for the candidates preparing for the exam. The higher SSC CGL vacancies will imply lower Cutoff for each stage of exam. The SSC CGL cutoff will be reduced by at least 30% in the Tier 1 exam. SSC CGL exam was conducted from December 1 to 13, 2022.
The Commission released the post-wise breakup of SSC CGL vacancies in the vacancy details released on February 7.
The Staff Selection Commission released the post-wise vacancies for the SSC CGL 2022-23 exam. The Commission notified 37,409 SSC CGL vacancies in the exam. The candidates can expect low cutoff for each stage of the examination. The highest number of vacancies were notified for the Postal Assitant/Sorting Assitant. The number of vacancies for PA/SA is 19,676. The number of vacancies will be higher compared to the previous years because of the government's mandate to increase recruitment in the central government departments.

SSC CGL 2021 Final Vacancies
The Staff Selection Commission revised the number of SSC CGL 2021 vacancies on January 13, 2023. The Commission reduced the number of SSC CGL vacancies 2021 from 7,686 to 7,633. The Commission released the revised SSC CGL vacancies PDF online only mentioning the department, post name and the number of vacancies for each category. SSC CGL vacancies work as a motivational factor for the candidates. Higher SSC CGL vacancies motivates the candidates to prepare better for selection because due to the higher number of vacancies, the SSC CGL cutoff remains low.
The number of vacancies also influences the SSC CGL cutoff for each stage of the exam. Higher vacancies mean a lower cutoff at each level of selection. There are always a good number of vacancies in the exam advertisement. The SSC CGL post-wise vacancies will be released later separately. SSC CGL notification 2022 will be released soon and the official notification will mention the number of vacancies for the SSC CGL exam 2022.
Staff Selection Commission (SSC) releases the tentative vacancy list that changes with time. Most of the time, the number of vacancies increases as the exam process proceeds. The Staff Selection Commission released the final SSC CGL vacancies for the 2021 edition of exam. The Commission reduced the number of SSC CGL Vacancies in 2021 in the final iteration. The Commission now revised the vacancies and the final number of vacancies for the SSC CGL 2021 exam is 7621. The Commission reduced the SSC CGL 2021 vacancies earlier in January also when it reduced the number of vacancies from 7,686 to 7,633.

The Commission revised the SSC CGL 2021 vacancies on February 27, 2023, and the final SSC CGL vacancies were 7,621 instead of 7,633. The Commission released the SSC CGL 2021 vacancies with the Tier 1 result. The candidates appeared in the exam without knowing the number of vacancies and hence it was impossible to expect any cutoff. The Commission released the tentative vacancy list with the result itself.

Some of the important points that candidates should keep in mind regarding SSC CGL posts and vacancies are:
- Final allotment of posts is made on the basis of merit-cum-preference basis
- Once allotted, no change of posts is made by SSC due to non-fulfilment of any post-specific requirements such as physical/ medical/ educational standards
- While giving preference for CGL posts, candidates must note that few posts such as Inspector (Central Excise/ Examiner/ Preventive Officer), Inspector and Sub-Inspector in CBN, Sub-Inspector in CBI, NIA and UDC in BRO, etc have specific requirements of physical standards, physical tests and medical standards. Candidates giving preference for such posts must ensure that they meet all the prescribed requirements
