RRB ALP Syllabus 2025: Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs) release RRB ALP syllabus for Assistant Loco Pilot and Technician posts. The syllabus holds importance for candidates preparing for the exam. RRB ALP aspirants need to be well acquainted with the detailed RRB ALP syllabus before beginning with the preparation. The syllabus provides a list of important topics for each subject that needs to be included in the preparation schedule. RRB ALP syllabus is divided into the first stage, second stage and CBAT. RRB NTPC CBT 2 Syllabus

RRB ALP CBT 2 syllabus is divided into two parts: A and B. The syllabus of Part A comprises subjects, such as Mathematics, General Intelligence and Reasoning, Basic Science and Engineering. RRB ALP Syllabus for Part B

Part B is qualifying in nature and comprises a syllabus relevant to the trade as prescribed by the Director General of Employment & Training (DGET). Candidates with ITI/Trade Apprenticeship qualifications are required to appear in the section having questions about the relevant trade. Candidates holding Degrees, Diplomas, and Classes and are eligible for the various posts of ALP, need to select relevant trades from the list prescribed by RRBs against their Engineering discipline/Class 12. The relevant trades for various Engineering disciplines/Class 12 are given below.

RRB ALP CBAT Syllabus

Candidates need to secure a minimum of 42 marks in each of the five test batteries. The CBAT comprises questions and answer options in English and Hindi only. There is no negative marking in CBAT.

RRB ALP Exam Pattern 2025

RRB ALP exam pattern is such that it is divided into different stages-first stage CBT, second stage CBT, Computer Based Aptitude Test (CBAT), and Document Verification. The stage-wise exam pattern of RRB ALP is given below.

Part B

The exam duration of Part B is 60 minutes. A total of 75 questions are asked in the exam. This part is qualifying in nature and comprises questions from the trade syllabus prescribed by the Director General of Employment & Training (DGET).

RRB ALP Exam Pattern for CBAT

Candidates equal to eight times the number of ALP vacancies are called for CBAT based on the performance in Part A of second stage CBT, subject to qualifying the Part B. Candidates are required to qualify in each of the test batteries of CBAT. The questions in CBAT are in English and Hindi only. There is no negative marking in CBAT. To draw the merit list of ALP, 70 per cent weightage is given to Part A of second stage CBT and 30 per cent in CBAT.

The test paper carries a total of 75 objective-type multiple-choice questions. The total marks allotted to the test are 75. The duration of the test is 60 minutes. The score of first stage CBT is used to shortlist candidates for the second stage CBT. The first stage CBT is only to screen candidates for the second stage.

RRB ALP CBT 2 exam is held in 2 shifts. The shift 1 timings are 9:30 AM to 12 Noon, whereas shift 2 is conducted between 2:30 to 5 PM.
