SSC GD, CGL, CHSL, MTS & Others Exam Events 2024-2025

SSC GD Constable Exam 2025: The SSC GD 2025 exam will be held from February 4 to 25, 2025. The SSC GD Constable 2025 notification was released on September 5, 2024, on the official website- ssc.gov.in. The SSC GD application form 2025 was released along with the notification. The last date to fill out the online application form was October 15, 2024.

SSC GD Constable 2024 Exam: SSC GD final result 2024 will be released soon along with the cut-off marks, merit list, and marks. The SSC GD Physical Test 2024 was held from September 23 to November 9, 2024.

SSC MTS Exam: The SSC MTS exam was conducted from September 30 to November 14, 2024. The SSC MTS 2024 notification was released on June 27, 2024. The Staff Selection Commission released the application form for the SSC MTS on June 27 along with the notification. The last date to fill SSC MTS application form 2024 was August 3, 2024. 

SSC CGL Exam: The SSC CGL result 2024 for Tier 1 was announced on December 5, 2024. The SSC CGL answer key 2024 has been released for the Tier 1 exam. The Commission conducted the SSC CGL 2024 exam (Tier 1) from September 9 to 26, 2024 as a Computer-Based Exam (CBE) at the designated exam centres. The SSC CGL admit card 2024 has been released. The SSC CGL 2024 application form was available from June 24 to July 27, 2024

SSC CHSL Exam: The SSC CHSL Tier 2 exam was conducted on November 18, 2024The SSC CHSL result 2024 Tier 1 has been released. The SSC CHSL answer key 2024 for the Tier 1 exam was released on July 18, 2024. The SSC CHSL 2024 notification was released on April 8, 2024. Yes, there will be the SSC GD Constable exam in 2025. The Commission has notified the dates for the conduct of the Constable (GD) in CAPFs, SSF and Rifleman (GD) in Assam Rifles and Sepoy in Narcotics Control Bureau Examination, 2025. The SSC GD Constable 2025 recruitment exam will be held from February 4 to 25, 2025. The SSC GD 2025 notification was released on September 5, 2024.

Q:   What is the passing marks of SSC MTS?

A:

The candidates are required to score marks equal to or more than their category cutoff to get selected for the exam. There are no such passing marks which can ensure selection. SSC MTS exam is a competitive exam and the candidates can be selected even when they score low marks if the overall cutoff is decreased.

The Commission prescribes the minimum qualifying marks for the candidates. The Commission prescribes certain minimum marks required for a candidate which make them eligible to get selected in the exam.

Yes, there is a negative marking of 0.25 marks for each incorrect answer. The SSC GD exam is an objective type exam conducted online as Computer Based Exam (CBE). The marks assigned for the correct answer is 2 marks and the negative marking is 0.25 marks. No marks are deducted for unattempted questions. It is advisable that candidates should avoid the guesswork in the exam as the wrong guess would lower down the overall score.

What is SSC?

The full form of SSC is Staff Selection Commission. Staff Selection Commission is an attached office to the Ministry of Personnel and Training. It was established after the recommendation of First Administrative Reforms Commission (1st ARC) in 1975 as the Subordinate Service Commission through an executive resolution. In 1977, it was renamed Staff Selection Commission on September 26, 1977. Q:   What is the selection process for SSC CGL?

A:

Staff Selection Commission changed the SSC CGL exam pattern in the last notification. The Commission removed the Tier 3 and Tier IV exam from the selection proecss.  The Commission must understand and internalise the SSC CGL exam pattern so that they can prepare well for the exam. 

The Commission also outsourced the Document Vertification and Detailed Medical Examination to the indented department. The SSC CGL selection process consists of twostages:

SSC Recruitment Process

The SSC recruitment process varies as per different exams. However, given below is the general SSC recruitment process followed for all the exams for the reference of candidates:

Step 1: SSC registration

Firstly, candidates need to register themselves on the official website of the Staff Selection Commission – ssc.nic.in. Once registered, candidates can proceed towards filing the SSC application form for their respective exams. The SSC application fee for most recruitment exams is INR 100.

Step 2: SSC admit card

Next, candidates need to download the SSC admit card for their respective exams from the official regional websites of the commission. Candidates can download their admit card by logging in using details such as registration/application number, date of birth and password.

Step 3: SSC exam

Candidates have to appear for their respective SSC exams as per the details mentioned on their admit cards. It may be noted that each SSC exam is conducted in different parts/tiers/papers. For instance, SSC CGL is conducted in four tiers – two computer-based tests (CBTs), one descriptive pen-and-paper-based test (PBT) and one computer proficiency test/skill test/document verification round. Q:   What are the different stages of SSC CHSL exam?

A:
The SSC CHSL exam process consists of the following stages: Tier I: Objective-type computer-based examination (CBE) Tier II: Objective-type computer-based examination and skill test The SSC CHSL Tier 1 exam is the first stage of the exam followed by the Tier 2 exam. The SSC CHSL Tier 1 exam is objective in nature and Tier 2 is a descriptive in nature. The Tier 1 exam is conducted online and Tier 2 is conducted offline across the nation at the designated exam centres. Candidates are required to score equal to or more than the SSC CHSL cutoff marks to get selected for the next tier.

The SSC JE exam is conducted in two stages - Paper-I Paper-II The candidates are required to appear and clear both the stages of exam. The final merit list will be prepared after adding the marks of SSC JE paper 1 and 2.

The Staff Selection Commission is expected to conduct the SSC CGL 2025 Tier 1 exam in June/July 2025. The candidates will get here the SSC CGL exam analysis after the first shift of exam. The Commission will release the SSC CGL exam dates 2025 after the release of official notification.
