UPPSC UPPCS 2024: One Exam Date Soon, Admit Card, Cutoff, Exam Centre, Answer Key & Result

UPPSC conducts the Uttar Pradesh Combined State/Upper Subordinate exam to recruit candidates for the Group B services through the Combined State/Upper Subordinate Services and Assistant Conservator of Forest/Range Forest Officer Services Examination 2024. The UPPCS exam recruits state government functionaries in provincial civil services and other state services. These functionaries get their postings in various essential departments, such as land records, land revenue, and general administration.

UPPSC PCS Full Form

The full form of UPPSC PCS is Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) Provincial Civil Service (PCS). The name is a joint name of the Commission and its top service. The official name of the exam is Uttar Pradesh Combined State/Upper Subordinate Exam.

UPPCS 2024 Overview

The UPPSC 2024 exam dates are important because the candidates must shift gears between the UPSC and UPPSC exams. After all, the prelims and main exam are only a fortnight apart. The candidates can see here the UPPCS exam date 2024.

The UPPSC 2024 admit card is expected to be released soon. The candidates will be required to show their UPPSC admit card to enter the examination centre. UPPCS admit card is the essential document to secure entry to the exam centre. The candidates must carry one government identity proof with the UPPSC admit card to establish their identity when asked for at the examination centre.

The UPPSC PCS 2024 cutoff will be released online for all the categories and posts separately. It will be released after the declaration of final result. The Commission does not release the cutoff with the result. The release of the UPPSC PCS cutoff can be considered as the last step of the exam process. 

Recently, the Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission released the UPPSC PCS 2023 cutoff for the prelims and main exam for all the categories and groups. The Commission released the UPPSC Cutoff under the candidates' login. The Commission releases the UPPSC PCS cutoff only after the completion of the exam process. The Commission releases the category-wise UPPCS cutoff for all the groups. The Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) is the apex state recruitment body that conducts various exams to recruit candidates for various Group B services. UPPSC do not conduct exams where the eligibility condition is below a graduate, such functions are delegated to the UPSSSC and other departmental recruitment bodies. The UPPSC conduct the following important exams.

• Combined State/Upper Subordinate Exam (UPPCS)
• Review Officer/Assistant Review Officer (RO/ARO)
• Uttar Pradesh State Engineering Exam (Assistant Engineering Exam)
• Judicial Service Exam {PCS(J)}
• Exam to recruit Principals in the Government Senior Secondary Colleges/Medical Colleges
• Exam to recruit Readers in different Educational and Training Institutes

The Uttar Public Service Commission will release the UPPSC prelims answer key after the prelims exam. The Commission will release the tentative answer key and ask the candidates to send objections against the incorrect answers given in the official answer key. The candidates can check their answers from the UPPSC answer key (tentative) and calculate their scores. The Commission does not release the final answer key before the completion of the exam process. The final answer key is released after the final result. After the prelims exam, the Commission releases the tentative answer key. The Commission invited objections from the candidates to suggest corrections (if any) in the question or in the answer provided by the Commission. The Commission forms a committee to examine the objections received from the candidate. It recommends the changes required in the tentative answer key. The Commission will consider the recommendations and will decide accordingly. 

The Commission released the UPPSC 2024 application link with the release of the official notification. The last date to fill out the UPPSC 2024 applications were February 2, 2024, but the last date to submit the UPPSC PCS 2024 application fee was January 29, 2024.

The Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission notified 220 vacancies. The Commission will release the UPPSC 2024 vacancies later in detail.

The candidates should check all the eligibility conditions before filling out the UPPSC PCS form online. The commission may cancel the candidature of any candidates at any stage of recruitment. The eligibility criteria for the UPPCS Exam are given below.

UPPCS 2024 Educational Qualification

The candidate must be a graduate to appear in the UPPSC PCS exam 2024. The candidates who will appear in their graduation degree exam can also appear in the exam but they need to submit their final year mark sheet at the time of the UPPCS main exam Detailed Application Form (DAF) submission. 

The candidates having any percentage in the degree course can fill out the UPPCS application and can appear in the UPPCS exam. Besides, there are some specific educational qualifications required for some posts. The details are given below.

The above posts are an exhaustive list. Some posts are not notified in the notification for the exam. There can be an increase in the number of UPPSC posts in case the Commission include more posts for the exam. 

UPPCS Age Limit

The common age limit for all the positions is:

• Minimum Age limit - 21 years
• Maximum Age Limit - 40 years (on July 1 of the exam year)

The candidates born before July 2, 1984, and after July 1, 2003, will not be eligible to appear in the UPPSC 2024 exam.

Important Note: Skilled players of U.P. of Classified Games, State Govt. Employees of U.P. including Teachers/Staff of the Basic Shiksha Parishad of U.P. and Teachers / Staff of the Government Aided Madhyamik Vidyalayas of U.P. i.e. they must have not been born before 2nd July 1977. The UPPSC notification 2024 was released in January 2024. The Commission also mentioned the number of vacancies, dates, syllabus, exam pattern and other rules and regulations related to the exam. The Commission notifies the official syllabus in the notification every year. UPPSC Syllabus is kin to the UPSC syllabus now. The prelims exam is conducted on the same lines as conducted by UPSC. UPPCS syllabus is the key to the preparation and consequently for the selection in the exam. The candidates should refer to the syllabus and prepare each of the topics given in the syllabus. The candidates need to understand the exam because the syllabus explains the extent of the examination and its preparation. The UPPSC PCS main exam pattern has been changed. The state government has approved the removal of the optional subject from the main exam. 1. UPPCS Prelims Exam
The prelims exam is the first stage of the UPPCS selection process. UPPSC conducts the prelims exam across the state in offline mode and around eight lakh candidates appear in this exam. Last year, the UPPSC UPPCS prelims question paper was not in consonance with the previous year's papers. There are two papers in the UPPCS prelims exam that are mentioned below:

• UPPCS Prelims General Studies Paper - 1
• UPPCS Prelims General Studies Paper - 2 (CSAT)

2. UPPCS Main (written) Exam

The optional subject from the UPPCS PCS main exam has been removed. The Government approved the proposal of removing the optional subject and instead of it, two papers will be introduced in the UPPSC main exam 2024. The UPPSC UPPCS main exam pattern can be summarised as follows:

UPPCS Personality Test (Viva Voce)

The personality test is the last stage of the UPPSC UPPCS exam. The commission has assigned 100 marks to the personality test, which makes it an important factor in deciding the final rank. The personality test revolves around current events and the Detail Application Form (DAF) filled out at the time of the main exam. 

The UPPSC conducts the personality test in the commission’s office premises and the candidates need to go to Prayagraj for the personality test. After the personality test, the UPPSC results will be declared. It will pave the way for the selection.

The Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission released the UPPSC 2023 final result online on January 23, 2024. The Commission released the roll number, names, and category in the final Result PDF. The Commission conducted the UPPSC 2023 interviews till January 12, 2024. As per the notice, three candidates did not appear in the UPPSC 2023 interviews. 

The candidates should note that the marks secured in the UPPSC Prelims exam will not be considered for the final merit list but the candidates will be required to clear the prelims exam because it is mandatory to clear the prelims in order to appear in the mains exam.  The Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission will not release the UPPSC 2023 cutoff for the exam. 

The Commission is expected to conduct the UPPSC PCS 2024 exam in July. The candidates will get here the UPPSC 2024 prelims exam analysis on the day of the examination. The Commission conducts the UPPCS exam in an offline mode across the state. UPPCS Exam is trading a new path after 2018 because of two reasons. The UPPSC had introduced negative marking in the UPPCS prelims exam and changed the UPPCS main exam pattern also. This changed the whole structure of the UPPCS exam. UPPCS Previous Year Question Paper

The number of UPPCS exam centres is notified in the official notification. The UPPCS prelims exam will be conducted at all major districts in the state. The UPPSC main exam will be conducted at three exam centres only. Both exams are conducted in offline mode.

UPPCS 2024 Selection Process

UPPSC follows the same exam pattern as followed by the UPSC. The UPPCS exam is a three-stage exam comprising
