UPPSC UPPCS Selection Process 2025: Check Detailed Exam Procedure Here.

UPPSC UPPCS exam has a three-stage selection process. The selection process started with the UPPSC 2025 application because the UPPCS application is important for the candidates. The candidates will be required to fill out the UPPSC 2025 applications carefully because the details mentioned in the online application will become the official record of the candidate. The candidates will get a month to fill out the application form online. All the formalities related to the UPPSC prelim exam are done online only.

In the aforementioned three stages, the candidate needs to qualify for each exam stage to get promoted to the next stage. Each stage is different and the Commission releases the post-wise result and category-wise cutoff of each of the posts. The candidates need to breach the cutoff decided by the commission for each stage of the exam to become eligible to appear in the next stage. The three stages of the UPPSC selection process are :

• UPPCS Prelims exam
• UPPCS Main (written) exam
• UPPSC interview

With the release of the official notification, the UPPSC PCS selection process started. The candidates need to read and understand the official eligibility criteria mentioned in the official UPPSC notification 2025. The UPPCS apply online link was also released with the official notification.

The candidates can only become a part of the UPPSC PCS selection process after filling out the application. The UPPCS application 2025 will be available online only and the candidates can fill it out online only at the official website. The Commission mentioned all the formalities related to the UPPSC application 2025 in the official notification. The candidates are required to read all the UPPSC eligibility 2025 to know whether they are eligible or not for the exam.

UPPSC Prelims exam is the first stage of the UPPSC UPPCS exam. The UPPCS Prelims exam is an objective type exam conducted offline across the state. The UPPCS Prelims exam is a screening exam and the marks secured in the UPPCS Prelims exam are not considered for the final merit. The candidates need to qualify only in the UPPSC prelims exam. The second paper is only qualifying in nature and the marks secured in the Aptitude paper is not considered for the UPPSC Prelims merit list. The candidates should prepare all the topics mentioned in the official UPPSC syllabus to score better in the exam.

The candidates need to fill the Detailed Application Form for the UPPCS main exam. In the UPPCS main DAF, the candidates need to provide service preferences and also their optional subjects. Both the information cannot be changed once the DAF is accepted by the Commission.

The UPPCS main exam is the most important stage of the whole exam process. The UPPSC UPPCS main exam is a conventional essay-type exam conducted offline across the state at one or two exam centres only. The UPPSC recently added Ghaziabad as the second exam centre for the UPPCS main exam because of the coronavirus pandemic. The UPPSC main exam has the following exam pattern.

The marks secured in the UPPSC main exam are considered for the final result. The Commission arrives at the UPPCS cut-off after the exam. The candidates are arranged in a merit list based on their UPPCS main exam marks. The candidates, twice the number of vacancies, are selected for the UPPCS interviews and the marks of the last selected candidates become the cutoff for the candidates.

The cut-off is calculated for each category separately. The candidates who score more than the cutoff can come to the unreserved category as well. The marks of the candidates are not disclosed at this stage. The candidates are then called for the interview process.

The eligible candidates are called for an interview at the UPPSC office premises in Prayagraj. The candidates need to carry all the original certificates at the time of the interview. All the certificates are verified at the time of the interview and all the claims made by the candidates are verified. The UPPSC interview is the last stage of the exam and there is a high probability of selection after the candidates are called for the interview because the number of candidates is very low. The UPPSC interview is conducted by the interview boards formed for this purpose. The candidates are allotted a number and all the interview process is conducted according to this number. The name of the candidate is not known to the board members.

After the UPPSC interview, a final merit list is made by adding the marks secured in the main exam and interview. The final merit list is issued as a result and the last candidate's marks become the cut off for other candidates.
