Step 1: Fill UPTET application form
As the first step, candidates need to fill out the UPTET Application Form 2024 in online mode on the official website of the exam. UPTET application fee for one or two papers is as under:

Step 2: Download UPTET admit card
UPTET admit card is typically released two weeks before the exam. Candidates can download the UPTET Admit Card 2024 from the official website of the exam by using details such as registration number and password.
Step 3: Appear for the UPTET exam
UPTET exam is conducted in offline mode as a pen-and-paper-based test. The exam is conducted for two papers. Candidates can appear for one or both papers depending on the classes that they plan to teach. UPTET Paper 1 is held for Classes 1-5 and UPTET Paper 2 is held for Classes 6-8.
Step 4: Check the UPTET answer key

Candidates need to fulfil any one of the eligibility criteria given below in terms of educational qualification in order to appear for the UPTET Paper 2:
- Graduation with a two-year Diploma in Elementary Education
- Graduation with minimum 50 per cent marks and passed or appearing in one-year BEd
- Graduation with at least 45 per cent marks and a one-year BEd
- Class 12 with minimum 50 per cent marks with a four-year BElEd
