MAH HM CET is an entrance exam conducted by Maharashtra State Common Entrance Test Cell. It serves as a gateway for admission into UG and PG Hotel Management and Catering Technology (HMCT) courses. Test for four-year UG HMCT program is referred to as BHMCT CET, while test for two-year PG HMCT program is called MHMCT CET.

MAH HM CET is a computer-based test. It is held in selected cities across Maharashtra. Admission to all government-aided and un-aided institutes offering BHMCT and MHMCT courses is based on MAH HM CET scores. Admissions process is conducted online through a centralized admission process (CAP).

MAH HM CET 2026 counselling process is done in online mode through a centralised admission process (CAP) organised by the CET Cell. The merit list includes the names of candidates who have been allocated to institutes. The counselling is conducted through three rounds of CAP (Centralised Admission Process), with the available seats for each round being published on the website beforehand.

Candidates whose names appear on the merit list must complete the admission process by reporting to the allotted institute and securing their seat. If a candidate fails to report to the institute and confirm their seat acceptance as prescribed by the Competent Authority, they will automatically forfeit their claim to the allotted seat, which will then become available for fresh allotment.

Steps to fill MAH HM CET Application Form 2026

• Register using Name, Guardian name, Gender, Marital Status and Date of Birth, Religion, Region, Mother Tongue, Annual Family Income (Optional), and Nationality, address, contact details, etc. 
• Complete OTP verification.
• After verification of OTP, the Candidates will be given an “Application Number”, save it.
• Fill the rest of the application form.
• Next, fill in the Domicile and Category details. 
• Then, fill in the qualification details.
• Then candidates have to fill in the exam centre preferences.
• In the next steps, candidates need to upload scanned images of photos and signatures.
• Also, upload the required document for proof of identity.
• Preview and validate the information.
• Pay the application fee.
• Finally, submit and print the application form and keep it with you.

MAH HM CET 2026 Eligibility

The official notification from the test authority will include the eligibility criteria for the MAH HM CET 2026. Before completing the application, all candidates interested in applying for the hotel management CET 2026 registration are recommended to review the requirements for eligibility of MAH HM CET 2026. The following lists the MAH HM CET qualifying requirements for both undergraduate and graduate programs.

Eligibility for the 2026 MAH BHMCT CET

• The applicant ought to be a citizen of India.
• Passed the HSC or a comparable test.
• A minimum of 45% of the possible points must have been earned overall (at least 40% for candidates from the backward class, the economically disadvantaged group, and those with disabilities who are limited to Maharashtra state).

Eligibility for the 2026 MAH MHMCT CET

• The candidate should be an Indian National.
• Passed Bachelor Degree in Hotel Management and Catering Technology from All India Council for Technical Education or Central or State Government approved institutions or its equivalent.
• Must have obtained at least 50% marks in aggregate (at least 45% marks in aggregate for backward class category, Economically Weaker Section and Persons with Disabilities candidates belonging to Maharashtra state only).

The CET cell prescribed the syllabus of MAH HM CET. Candidates could prepare for the MAH HM CET 2026 exam according to the syllabus prescribed by the CET cell. • Food and Beverage Operation: Food and Beverage Service Operations, related terminology, Inventory control, Food & Beverage equipment and infrastructure.
• Food Production: Food Production operations, Indian & International cuisines and related terminology, Bakery and Confectionary, Hygiene and Safety standards, Kitchen equipment and Infrastructure
• Rooms division: Housekeeping and front office operations and related terminology, fabrics & textiles, Planning & designing of hospitality organisations, Laundry operations and procedures.

MAH HM CET 2026 exam is around the corner. Maharashtra CET Cell has announced exam dates for MAH HM CET 2026 on the official website. MAH B.HMCT exam was held from April 28, 2026. MAH M.HMCT exam date was March 25, 2026. The last date for MAH B.HMCT CET was April 30, 2026.
