Q:   How many mock tests should I take for MAH HM CET exam?

A:

The number of mock tests you should attempt for the MAH HMCET can vary based on your preparation level, but a good guideline is:

  • Begin with 1-2 mock tests per month during the initial stages of your preparation to gauge your current level and identify areas for improvement.
  • Increase Frequency: As you get closer to the exam date (especially in the last 1-2 months), increase to 1-2 full-length mock tests per week.
  • Aim for 10-15 full-length mock tests during your preparation period, especially in the last few months. This will provide ample practice and help you adapt to the exam's timing and pressure.
  • Additionally, incorporate sectional tests to focus on specific subjects (e.g., Mathematics, Logical Reasoning) as needed. These can be done more frequently to build foundational skills.
  • It’s important to focus on the quality of your practice. After each mock test, take time to analyze your performance, review incorrect answers, and adjust your study plan accordingly.
  • Adjust the number of tests based on your comfort level and progress. If you feel confident, you may not need as many tests; if you identify weaknesses, you may want to do more.

By following this approach, you can effectively prepare for the MAH HMCET and enhance your chances of achieving a good rank.

The counselling process is done in online mode through a centralised admission process (CAP) organised by the CET Cell. The merit list includes the names of candidates who have been allocated institutes. Typically, two rounds of CAP are conducted, with the available seats for each round being published on the website beforehand.

Candidates whose names appear on the merit list must complete the admission process by reporting to the allotted institute and securing their seat. If a candidate fails to report to the institute and confirm their seat acceptance as prescribed by the Competent Authority, they will automatically forfeit their claim to the allotted seat, which will then become available for fresh allotment.

  • After accepting the seat, candidates must report to the allotted college for further admission processes. This may include additional document verification and completing formalities.
  • If candidates are not satisfied with their allotment or want to try for better options, they can participate in subsequent rounds of counseling, which may occur depending on seat availability.
  • After completing all processes, candidates will secure their admission and begin their course.

Merit List and Rank
- Seats are primarily allocated based on the candidate’s rank in the merit list, which is determined by their performance in the MAH HMCET exam. Higher-ranked candidates usually get priority in seat selection.

Choice Filling
- After registration, candidates fill out their preferences for colleges and courses. The choices they submit play a crucial role in the seat allocation process.

Seat Acceptance

Reporting to College
- After accepting the seat, candidates are required to report to the allotted college for further admission formalities, including document verification and fee payment.

A:

A score of 95 in the MAH HMCET can be considered good, depending on various factors such as:

  • Ranking
    - Generally, a score of 95 is likely to fetch you a relatively good rank, potentially within the top few hundred, which could provide access to many reputable colleges.
  • Desired Colleges

Q:   What is a good rank in MAH HM CET?

A:

A "good" rank in the MAH HMCET can vary depending on several factors, including the specific college you are aiming for and the competitiveness of the year. However, here are some general guidelines:

  • Top Colleges

- For top-tier colleges, such as TISS or IHMR, a rank within the top 100-200 is generally considered good. Higher ranks (lower numbers) will increase your chances of securing admission to prestigious programs.

  • Mid-Tier Colleges

- For well-regarded but slightly less competitive colleges, a rank in the range of 200-500 can still provide good options for admission.

  • Broader Acceptance

If you’re looking at a broader range of colleges, a rank up to 800-1000 may still offer you opportunities, but it might limit you to less competitive programs or colleges.

  • Reservation Categories

- Keep in mind that reservation policies can affect rank considerations. If you belong to a reserved category, the required rank for admission may be lower compared to the general category.

  • Yearly Variations
    - The competitiveness of the exam and the number of applicants can change each year, so it’s important to refer to the previous year's cutoff ranks for specific colleges as a benchmark.
