MAH MCA CET 2024 Application Form

MAH MCA CET 2024 application form will be exclusively available online, and no offline applications will be made available. The MAH MCA CET 2024 application form will tentatively be available from the last week of February 2024. Upon completing the registration process, candidates will receive a registration number and password. The candidates can use the login credentials open the application form. The candidates must provide all the personal, academic, and other requested details in the application form. The scanned copies of the signature and photograph should be uploaded as per the guidelines on the application form. The deadline for submitting the application form will be usually in the second week of March 2024.

Q:   What is the minimum passing marks of MAH MCA CET?

A:

The Maharashtra CET Cell do not release any minimum passing marks for MAH MCA CET. The basis of admission is merit list which is released by considering the marks obtained in MAH MCA CET and graduation. Candidates who appear in the exam are given percentile scores on the basis of marks scored. The percentile scores in MAH MCA CET and percentage in graduation is used to arrive at an All India Rank which will be used for admission at the institutes.

Steps to Fill MAH MCA CET 2024 Application Form

Step 1: Visit the official website i.e.cetcell.mahacet.org

Step 2: Candidates need to initiate the registration process by clicking on the "New Candidate Registration" button.

Step 3: Provide registration details, including the candidate's name, parents' names, gender, date of birth, region, etc.

Step 4: Upon successful registration, candidates are required to complete the application form by entering personal information, domicile and category details, qualification details, and preferences for the exam centre.

Q:   Will I be eligible for MCA? I am a B.Com graduate and had statistics as my subject. I appeared for MAH MCA CET in past for MCA.

Hi Vivek, For being eligible to apply for MCA, you have to have mathematics as one of the subjects at 10+2 level or statistics as one of the subjects at graduation level. If you fulfill these criteria you are eligible for MCA. As far as other information regarding MCA is concerned, we would like to state that most of the entrance tests are conducted in April or May. Notifications are out in January or February. The combined MCA entrance tests held in India are: NIMCET for NITs, CET Maharashtra for Maharashtra colleges, UPMCAT for most colleges in UP, Andhra Pradesh CET for Colleges in AP,Orissa State MCA Test for all Colleges in Orissa, MET for All college under Punjabi Univ. GNDU, & PTU in Punjab, MP-Pre MCA Test for all colleges in MP, Kerala MCA Test for all colleges in Kerala. The most reputed universities and colleges offering MCA degree in India are: Delhi University, Pune University, Jawahar Lal Nehru university, New Delhi, IIT Roorkee, NIT Trichy, VJTI, Mumbai, Banaras Hindu University, MNNIT Allahabad, ICSE Indore, Thapar University. In the MAH MCA CET eligibility criteria it is mentioned that a candidate should obtain at least 50% aggregate marks in graduation (at least 45% in case of candidates of Backward Class categories, economically weaker section and Persons with Disability category belonging to Maharashtra State); Or
Candidates appearing for the final year of the qualifying examination are also eligible to appear for CET.

Q:   What is the eligibility to apply for MAH MCA CET 2024?

The eligibility criteria will be announced along with the release of the application form. The basic criteria is that candidates need to have passed BCA/BSc IT or BA/BSc/BCom with the computer as a subject or studied Computer as a subject in 10+2 level. 

Step 5: Upload scanned copies of a passport-sized photograph, signature, and other identity proof documents.

Step 6: Make the payment for the application fee using online methods such as Credit card, Debit card, Net Banking, etc.

MAH MCA CET 2024 Eligibility Criteria

To apply for MAH MCA CET 2024, candidates must satisfy the following eligibility criteria:

Nationality: Candidates must be Indian nationals.

Qualification: Candidates applying must have completed a three-year degree programme from a recognised university approved by either the University Grants Commission or the Association of Indian Universities. Candidates who are in the final year of their qualifying examination can also apply for the CET.

Marks: Candidates must have secured a minimum aggregate of 50% marks in their graduation (45% for candidates belonging to Backward Class categories, economically weaker sections, and Persons with Disability category from Maharashtra State).

MAH MCA CET 2024 Exam Pattern

MAH MCA CET 2024 will be conducted in online mode. The question paper will comprise 100 questions, each carrying 2 marks. The total marks allotted for the question paper will be 200. The allotted time to complete the exam is 90 minutes, and the medium of the test will be English. The paper will consist of objective type Multiple Choice Questions with 5 options provided. Candidates will receive 1 mark for each correct answer, and there will be no negative marking for wrong answers. The question paper will include questions from Mathematics & Statistics, Logical / Abstract Reasoning, English Comprehension/Verbal Ability and Computer Concepts.

MAH MCA CET 2024 Admit Card

The MAH MCA CET 2024 Admit Card will be accessible via online mode. It will include essential details such as the name of the exam, examination date, exam venue, timings, and personal information of the candidate. The hall ticket will be released in the third week of March 2024.

Candidates are required to download the MAH MCA CET admit card by providing their application number/registered ID and password. MAH MCA CET 2024 Question Paper

In addition to the question paper, the exam conducting authority will also provide candidate response sheets and answer keys. MAH MCA CET 2024 Results

MAH MCA CET 2024 Counselling

The counselling and seat allotment process for MAH MCA CET 2024 will consist of a total of three rounds. The final merit lists will be displayed on the website. Subsequently, eligible candidates will need to complete an online option form where they can select up to 300 institutes and courses. A provisional allotment list will be issued, indicating the course/college allocated to each candidate. The selected candidates must then confirm their acceptance of the seat.
