The Telangana State Council of Higher Education (TSCHE) will tentatively release the TS PGLCET 2025 registration form in the first week of March 2025 at lawcet.tsche.ac.in. Only candidates eligible as per the prescribed eligibility criteria for TS PGLCET 2025 will be shortlisted for final admission round. Candidates must check the eligibility criteria for the LLM course as mentioned by TSCHE.

Candidates seeking admission through TS PGLCET 2025 have to match the required conditions as, "Candidates for 1 year LLM should have passed LL.B./B.L. 3/5 Year degree on the date of application, and candidates who have appeared/appearing for LL.B./B.L. Final year examination are also eligible to apply."

Q:   Is there any entrance exam for Osmania University?

A:
Yes, Osmania University conducts a Common Postgraduate Entrance Test CPGET for admission to PG, PG Diploma and five-year integrated courses. Apart from CPGET scores, the University also accepts several national-level entrance exam scores such as GATE TSICET CMAT Andhra Pradesh ECET and TS EAMCET among others for undergraduate courses such as B.Tech and other PG, PG Diploma and Certificate courses. For Ph.D. admission, Osmania University conducts Ph.D. entrance test.

Q:   Who is eligible for Osmania University PharmD admission?

A:

To be eligible for Osmania University PharmD admission, candidates must have a valid TS EAMCET score. Along with this, students are also required to fulfil the minimum eligibility criteria. Candidates seeking admission to Osmania University PharmD course must have passed Graduation with a minimum of 50% aggregate from a University/Institute approved by the Pharmacy Council of India. 

The law college must be recognised by BCI. Therefore, the candidates have to fullfill following conditions at the time of counselling, in order to secure a seat at TS PGLCET 2025 law college: 

  • They must be passed or appearing in final year examinations of five-year LLB course OR three-year LLB course to be eligible for LLM course admission
  • All General category candidates should have obtained a minimum of 45% marks in aggregate of all semesters of graduation degree
  • Candidates from OBC category should have secured 42% marks in the qualifying degree to be considered eligible for admission. 
  • Candidates from SC/ ST category should have secured at least 40% marks in the qualifying degree final examinations.

Note: The OBC candidates shall invariably submit their OBC certificate issued by the competent authority to support 42% of aggregate marks in Graduation, as informed by TSCHE.

TS PGLCET Age Eligibility 2025 

According to the exam authority, there will be no age limit for the law courses admissions. Candidates can apply for LLM course irrespective of their age. It was also stated in the information bulltetin of the law entrance exam, "There shall be no Age restriction for the candidates seeking admission into LL. M. Courses, through appearing at TS PGLCET as per the Bar Council of India Lr. No. BCI/D/2337/2018(LE/Cir.4) dated 26.11.2018. Further, Candidates may refer to the G.O.Ms.No.116, Higher Education (UE.II) Department, Dated: 07.08.2007 for ascertaining their eligibility for TS PGLCET 2025.

The TS LAWCET LLM exam is called the TS PGLCET. The TS PGLCET eligibility criteria are mentioned below:

Educational Qualification
  • Candidates must have obtained a 3-year or 5-year LLB degree or a graduation degree in any stream from a recognised university.
  • Candidates who are appearing for their final year/semester of the LLB course can also apply for TS PGLCET. However, they need their final year marksheet at the time of TS PGLCET counselling.
Minimum Marks in qualifying exam
  • General & OBC: Minimum of 50% marks 
  • SC/ST/PwD: Minimum of 45% marks 
Age Limit
  • There is no age limit to apply for TS PGLCET.

Q:   Are non-local candidates eligible for TS PGLCET?

A:

Non-locals or candidates who do not belong to Telangana can apply for TS PGLCET. However, they need to make sure to meet exam eligibility criteria. The criteria are mentioned below:

Qualification
  • Candidates must have completed a 3-year LLB or 5-year LLB degree. 
  • Candidates appearing in the final year of their 3-year/5-year LLB degree can also apply for TS PGLCET 2024. These candidates need their final marksheet at the time of TS PGLCET counselling. The minimum marks requirement in the qualifying exam (LLB exam) must be met by them.
Qualifying Marks
  • The qualifying percentage of marks in the Entrance Test is 25% (i.e. 30 marks out of total 120 marks).
  • For candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes or Scheduled Tribes, no minimum qualifying percentage of marks is prescribed. 
Age Limit
  • There is no age limit to apply for TS PGLCET.

Q:   I am from Kerala and had completed my LL.B. In Kerala. Am I eligible for the TS PGLCET examination?

A:

Yes, candidates from Kerala or other India states can apply for TS PGLCET exam if they meet the exam eligibility criteria. The criteria are mentioned below: 

TS PGLCET Eligibility Criteria
Qualification
  • Applicants must have completed either a 3-year or 5-year LLB degree. Those in the final year of their LLB programme (3-year or 5-year) are also eligible to apply for TS PGLCET, provided they present their final marksheet during the counselling process.
  • Additionally, they must meet the minimum mark criteria in the qualifying LLB examination.
Qualifying Marks
  • The qualifying marks for the Entrance Test are set at 25%, which equates to 30 out of 120 total marks.
  • However, for candidates from Scheduled Castes or Scheduled Tribes, there is no specified minimum qualifying percentage.
Age Limit
  • There is no age limit to fill out the TS PGLCET application form.

Q:   I'm OC and want to get seat in Osmania University, how much should I score in TS EAMCET?

A:

Osmania University cutoff 2023 for the BTech course is based on TS EAMCET scores. For Round 1 in 2023, the closing ranks for all B.Tech specialisations ranged from 590 to 54251. The most competitive specialisation has been B.E. in Computer Science and Engineering with a closing rank of 590, followed by B.E. in Electronics and Communication Engineering with 1476 rank. Tabulated below is the college-wise BE CSE cutoff 2023 for Round 1 and the Last Round for the General category All India candidates:
