Coronavirus: MDI postpones GD-PI process for 2020-22 admissions

According to the official press release published on the official website of MDI, the revised Date & Venue of GD-PI will be communicated to you in due course of time.

Due to the coronavirus outbreak, Management Development Institute (MDI) has deferred the GD-PI process for admission to PGPM/PGP-HRM/PGP-IM 2020-22. To select candidates for the 2020-22 batch, the management institute had scheduled the WAT-GD-PI in Mumbai from March 21 – March 26, 2020. According to the official press release published on the official website of MDI, the revised Date & Venue of GD-PI will be communicated to you in due course of time.

Following the same, the Indian Institute of Management Lucknow (IIM-L) has also deferred its GD-PI for an indefinite period. The new dates for the same will be announced by the institute once the situation will be in control. Amid coronavirus spread, state governments have shut academic institutions, schools, colleges, and universities. Examinations are postponed, classes are suspended, and universities and schools are shifting to online platforms to conduct lectures and examinations. Many premier management institutes like IIM Indore, IIM Shillong, IIM Ahmedabad, and more have canceled their convocations, deferred events and outside travel to avoid the spread of novel coronavirus.

Meanwhile, MDI has asked applicants to apply for several management courses.  The courses include Post Graduate Diploma Programme in Public Policy & Management, Executive Fellow Programme in Management and Fellow Programme in Management (FPM). EFPM is a non-residential programme exclusively for working professionals. On the other hand, FPM is a full-time residential programme that prepares academicians and researchers for industry, educational organisations, government, and non-government organisations.

Interested Candidates can download the application form from the link available on the institute’s official website i.e. mdi.ac.in. Once completed, the applicants have to send the application form to Joint Secretary (Training), Department of Personnel & Training, Government of India, Old JNU Campus, New Delhi – 110067 with a copy to Chairperson (Admissions), Management Development Institute, Mehrauli Road, Sukhrauli, Gurgaon-122007. The last date for online application is Wednesday, April 15, 2020.
