SIU to set up its second largest campus in Nagpur

The second largest Symbiosis International University centre is all set to be established at Nagpur. The proposed campus at Wathoda has been allotted 75 acres of land by The Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC). This statement was released in a press meet by Principal Director of Symbiosis Society, Vidya Yeravdekar. 

The campus is being set up in the city by Pune-headquartered Symbiosis International University (SIU). Once the same is complete, 25% seats will be reserved for candidates belonging to Nagpur. These students will also get an additional benefit of availing a concession of 15%in the fees. 

SIU offers numerous courses in different streams ranging from law to management. The Nagpur campus will be the second largest campus of the Symbiosis; the largest being Pune campus. The groundbreaking ceremony will be done on January 6, 2017, following which the construction of the campus will commence. 

Like the campus in Pune, the Nagpur campus of SIU too will offer courses like BBA in Management, MBA, BA LLB and BBA LLB in Law, Design courses, skill development in fields of health, information technology and communication to name a few. 

Adding on to this, Vidya Yeravdekar also revealed that the campus will not only see the intake of students from across India, but will also enroll students from Afro-Asian countries – this will help the campus in creating a place for itself on the global map.
