Since Thiagarajar School of Management is a residential campus, hostel accommodation is a must for all learners.

 

Thiagarajar School of Management (TSM) was founded with the goal of providing high-quality education to students with a strong desire to advance their careers through improved management skills. The college also focuses on providing students with a calm and ecofriendly environment inside the campus, to help them build a positive mindset. It is a forty-acre campus surrounded by lush greenery. Campus infrastructure includes nine buildings.

Nine Blocks in the Campus:

• Girl’s hostel
• Boy’s hostel with an extension
• Students’ mess combined with Placement Cell and Gym
• Amizhtham block (Cooking house)
• Examination hall combined with Faculty mess block
• Guest house block
• Faculty staying home combined with Faculty guest house block

These are the buildings spread across forty acres with good air ventilation and world-class infrastructure.

Educational infrastructure

Laboratories and IT Department: Thiagarajar School of Management has a cutting-edge IT infrastructure that allows us to deliver smart, easy, and quick learning and research tools to the students. This institution provides education to students interested in pursuing careers in management. The campus has a computer lab with over 50 computers. The campus is fully equipped with a 24/7 Wi-Fi facility. A well-equipped computer lab, high-speed network, and cutting-edge software make modern teaching possible. It also aims to excite students' interest in technology and tools that they may apply in their professional lives. TSM has a LAN that connects the whole campus. Wi-Fi is a controller-based, fast, and secure network with 108 access points spread across the main building, hostels, and faculty guest houses.

Library: The library is a crucial component of any educational institution as it is the heart of the institution. It is a place, where students may stay and learn at their own leisure in a peaceful setting. Of course, it is the institution's responsibility to collect, categorise, preserve, update, and disseminate knowledge through different publications and online databases. The TSM Library is 133 square metres in size and includes almost 30,000 volumes on the issue of current management books, magazines, and journals and can accommodate 80 persons in the reading area. On the yearly subscription list, are around 100 national and international publications and magazines, as well as countless copies of popular and recommended texts for MBA and PGDM programmes. The institution takes pride in providing excellent service to the TSM community, and it has been computerised in every aspect of maintenance, and everything is connected to the campus's network. TSM has around 29,956 volumes, as well as 831 CDS and SIP Reports. The library's collection of resources is available via the intranet and the Internet (OPAC).

Classrooms: Thiagarajar School of Management has 12 classrooms, an admission cell, an alumni cell, a placement cell, two seminar halls and a Management Development Programme (MDP) hall. TSM provides its learners with modern smart classroom technology. It includes the Epson EB 585W Super Short Throw Projector, Wacom DTU-1631 Dynamic Display, Elmo L12i Virtual instrument – Document Image sensor, Mixer Amplifier TOA A-2240, Audio system of 240W output, Lavalier Microphone ATW 2110a & AT829cW, Internet connectivity Lapel microphone and rack-based receiving antenna, Handheld Microphone ATW-2120a Broadband Handheld microphone and rack-based receiver, Speaker TOA BS-10.

Facilities for Co-curricular and Recreation Activities

Playgrounds: There are two playgrounds on the campus. One ground is reserved for football and the other is for volleyball, basketball and badminton.

Indoor Game facilities: Above the students’ mess, the second floor is set up for indoor games and separate gymnasiums for both girls and boys. Games like carrom, chess, and table tennis are available for the students to refresh themselves. 

Auditorium: Thiagarajar School of Management is provided with one auditorium. It has a wi-fi facility, high-quality audio and video streaming systems, and a LED screen with projectors. The auditorium has a seating capacity of 200 students.

Amphitheatre: The latest high-definition video conferencing system is installed at TSM that includes Team 220 – Full HD Video-conferencing System – 1080P30, 720P60, H.239, Transmit & Receive, Dual HD Camera, Dual HD Display, 4Site MCU at 1080P, with Dual Mic pod and Samsung 55-inch LED TV.  The IT infrastructure of TSM is built on a non-linear and non-design, with the lowest tier being personal PCs and desktops. The second tier consists of file and database servers, and the third layer consists of web and email servers, as well as other high-end servers and computers required to do demanding activities that need a lot of resources. TSM Information Facilities offer all students and staff members services such as email, internet, storage, authentication, log management, and web services.

Hostel Facilities at TSM

Hostel life is full of joy, pleasure, and freshness. As TSM is a residential campus, hostel accommodation is a must for all learners.

Girl’s hostel: Thiagarajar School of Management provides one hostel for girls. It accommodates 250 girls at a time and consists of 85 rooms. Each room accommodates two to three students. Single room accommodation is also available. Girl’s hostel is provided with 24/7 wi-fi and LAN facilities. Separate and attached washrooms are available, and they are cleaned every day.

Boy’s hostel: Thiagarajar School of Management provides one hostel for boys. It accommodates 300 boys at a time and consists of 100 rooms. Each room accommodates two to three students. Single room accommodation is also available. Boy’s hostel is provided with 24/7 wi-fi and LAN facility. Separate and attached washrooms are available, and they are cleaned every day. 

Mess facilities: There are three different blocks that connect the cooking, kitchen, and mess area. Amizhtham block (Cooking house) is a place where the cooking process will happen. Food for both students and faculty is cooked here. One block is reserved for faculty mess separately. It can accommodate fifty faculties at a time. They provide food for breakfast and lunch and evening snacks. Another block is for students' mess separately. It can accommodate two hundred and fifty students at a time. Here, food is provided for breakfast, lunch, evening refreshments and dinner. The college has received awards for cleanliness and hygiene maintained in the kitchen and the mess.

Transportation facilities

As Thiagarajar School of Management is a residential campus, a separate transportation facility is not provided for the students because they have to stay here. TSM campus is located in Tiruparankundram of Madurai district. The distance from Tiruparankundram Arulmigu Murugan temple to the campus is around two kilometres.
