TSICET Preparation

TS ICET 2023 exam scheduled to be held over a window of two days, on May 26 and 27. With a few days left for the exam to begin, it is crucial for a candidate to customise their preparation plan as per their requirements. During the last day of preparation, doubts may surface over one's level of preparedness and this can lead to anxiety attacks. However, test-takers should focus on revision and prepare for the next day in terms of arranging the mandatory documents and taking necessary precautions against COVID-19. In this article of Shiksha, we are sharing a few last-minute preparation tips that help you perform better in the TSICET 2023 exam.

Last Day Preparation Tips for TS ICET 2023

Revise Notes, Shortcuts & Key formulae

With a day left for the exam, you should not start with any new topic and focus on revisiting short notes, important formulas and shortcut tricks. You should avoid learning new topics from books or mugging up theories. It can create confusion and increase your stress level. Also, be very careful about the mistakes you have committed while taking mocks and practice tests and ensure that you don't repeat those in the actual exam.

Stay Calm & Positive

It may be easier said than done but you must keep in mind that fretting unnecessarily would only harm your preparations. Just stay calm and tell yourself that you will give your best shot in this exam. You can take a stroll or listen to your favourite music or meditate to keep yourself fresh and composed. Follow good hygiene, avoid junk food and take proper sleep during the preparation period.

Q:   What is the time for TSICET exam?

A:
Telangana ICET exam is conducted in four shifts divided across two days. Two shifts on each exam day of the TSICET 2023 are conducted as the Forenoon shift and Afternoon shift. The Forenoon shift of TSICET 2023 exam will be conducted from 10:00 A. M. to 12:30 P. M. While the Afternoon shift of TSICET 2023 exam will be conducted from 2:30 P. M. to 5:00 P. M. Both exam days for TSICET 2023, I. e. May 26 and 27, will have Forenoon and Afternoon shifts. Kakatiya University will allot the TSICET exam date based on the choice of preferred exam city and course while filling the TSICET application form. The complete address of TSICET exam centre along with the exam date and shift will be mentioned in the hall ticket.

Q:   When will Kakatiya University conduct TSICET exam?

A:

TS ICET 2024 will be conducted on June 4 and 5 across 20 regional cities in Telangana. The TS ICET 2024 exam date has been in line with the past year's timeline. TS ICET 2023 exam was conducted on May 26 and 27. In the session of TSICET 2022, TSCHE conducted the exam on July 27 and 28. Whereas, in 2021, Kakatiya University conducted the TSICET exam on August 19 and 20.

TS ICET exam in the last week of May and first week of June is in line with the pre-covid timeline.

Q:   What are the items that can be carried inside the TSICET exam centre?

A:
Candidates are not allowed to carry anything inside the TSICET exam centre, but only a few items required during the test. Officials at tha TSICET exam centre will deny entry to the centre until any such prohibited material is found during the frisking process. Items allowed in the TSICET test centre include: - TSICET 2023 hall ticket - Sanitiser 50 ml - Transparent water bottle - Simple pen Candidates possessing any prohibited material inside the exam centre will get themselves disqualified from the TSICET examination process. Make a list

To avoid any last-minute hassle, make a list of essentials needed for the examination day. You must keep your TS ICET hall ticket and identity card handy because these are to be presented at the time of verification. Also keep aside permitted items, mask, gloves and sanitiser. You must be ready to give your best on the examination day.

Devise your exam day strategy

You need to have a clear vision for your exam. If you have practised at least a dozen mocks, it will be easier for you to set out a defined strategy for your exam which includes, the sequence of attempts, time to be spent on each section, tackling section-wise questions and contingency plan. It is always advisable to start your paper with your strongest area and spare little time for revisiting the question paper in the last few minutes.

Steer clear of peer pressure

One should not get bogged down by unnecessary pressure during the last days to the exam. If you are in touch with your peers who may or may not be in a better position in terms of exam preparation, you must not go into details of what you have covered or left so far. It may create unnecessary pressure on you. Stay confident and put your best foot forward during the exam.

Q:   How to know TSICET exam centre address?

A:
TSICET exam centre address is mentioned on the admit card. Candidates will know the complete address of the TSICET centre after Kakatiya University issues the hall ticket. Besides the exam centre address, candidates will find the evam date, shift time, and other exam day guidelines on the TSICET hall ticket. Before issuance of the TSICET hall ticket, candidates can only predict the test zone based on preference added while filling the application form. Kakatiya University will not entertain ant requests to know exam centre address before issuance of the hall ticket.

Q:   What is the list of TSICET test centre locations around Hyderabad?

A:
As per the TSICET 2023 notification, Hyderabad is divided into four tes zones for TSICET 2023 exam. While filling the form, candidates can check the TSICET test centre zone wise location to get the centre in particular areas of the state. Q:   What is the list of TSICET test zones?

A:
TSICET exam 2023 is being conducted across 20 test zones situates across Telangana. Candidates can choose three test zone preferences while filling the TSICET application form. Q:   What happens if my computer system faces a technical glitch while taking the computer-based test at TSICET exam centre?

A:
In case of any technical issues with the computer system, candidates must report the issue to the invigilator immediately. Computer systems in an online exam are connected to a server. Whenever the system hands or shuts down, the timer of the online test will stop and will resume when the candidate accesses the login dashboard again. Candidates will be allotted another system to take the TSICET computer-based test. The test will commence from the time where it got stuck. Therefore, candidates will not lose time in case of a technical issue in the system at the test centre. However, there is very less chance of any fault or issue in the system at TSICET exam centre as the systems go through quality checks before the commencement of the exam.

Q:   What are the prohibited items inside the TSICET exam centre?

A:
Candidates must not carry any of the prohibited items to the exam centre. In case the candidates are found with any of the prohibited items they will get disqualified from the examination process. Some of the prohibited items inside the exam centre include the following: - Electronic gadgets such as smartphones, smartwatches, calculators, pager, Bluetooth device, etc. - Printed material, notes, etc. - Carry bags, purses, wallets etc. - Eatables.

Monitor Your Health

Before reaching the TS ICET exam centre, you must do a thorough health checkup and ensure that you do not have any of the COVID-19 symptoms such as fever, flu. breathing problems, etc. In case of any symptoms or indisposition, you have to consult with your doctor and follow the suggestions.

Q: Shall I take mock tests one day before the exam?

A: Ideally, you should not take a mock test on the day before the exam to avoid any stress or fatigue. Instead, you may go through the previous mock tests taken by you and the evaluation and analysis done by your mentors to get an idea of the dos and don'ts to follow during the test.

Q: What is the timing of the test?

A: The forenoon slot is scheduled from 9.30 am to 12 noon and the afternoon slot is scheduled from 3 pm to 5.30 pm.

Q: Which section has the least weightage in the TS ICET exam?

A: The communication ability section has 50 questions whereas Analytical Ability and Mathematical Ability sections have 75 questions each. Hence, the communication ability section carries the least weightage in the TS ICET exam.
