MICAT 2 Exam 2025: Mudra Institute of Communication, Ahmedabad, has released MICAT 2 call letters as per the schedule. All applicants will be able to download the MICAT 2 admit card from the official website, mica.ac.in. MICA is conducting the MICAT 2 exam on January 25, 2025.

As per the MICAT exam dates, MICA has released the MICAT scorecard for first phase exam. The second phase exam scores will be out on February 14, 2025. MICA considers the best of two MICAT scores to prepare the GE-PI shortlist for PGDM admissions. Candidates aspiring for MICA admissions must have a valid score in any of the following exams, along with a bachelor's degree:

Q:   Is MICAT compulsory for MICA?

A: 

Candidates seeking admission to the PGP (PGDM/ PGDM-C) program at MICA must pass the MICAT exam. MICAT scores, along with scores from national-level entrance exams like CAT, XAT, and GMAT, are used to shortlist candidates for the Group Exercise (GE) and Personal Interview (PI) rounds.

MICAT is a computer-based test administered twice a year in two phases. It plays a critical role in selecting suitable candidates for the program. MICAT accounts for 25% of the overall selection criteria. Other factors considered include GE, PI, academic performance, and scores in CAT/XAT/GMAT. Therefore, taking the MICAT exam is mandatory for MICA PGP admissions.

Q:   How to crack MICAT exam in 4 months?

A: 

MICAT is among the difficult exams conducted for admission to MBA courses. Candidates appearing for MICAT exam get themselvbes involved in the MICA PGP admission process. The selection process by MICA involves the candidates to take CAT/XAT/GMAT exam. Additionally, candidates need to appear for the MICAT exam. MICAT involves three sections, as mentioned below:

MICAT is difficult as it may surprise candidates with an unpredictable structure and sectional time limit. Candidates may find the exam easy based on what they expected from the exam during preparation.

Q:   What is the mode of MICAT exam?

A: 

Mudra Institute of Communications, Ahmedabad conducts the MICAT exam as a computer based test from centres. Candidates need to appear at the allotted test centre to take the computer based MICAT exam. At the MICAT exam centre, each candidate is allotted a computer system. Candidates have to log in with the credentials to take the exam. Once the candidate logs in to the computer system, the responses will be recorded against a test taker ID. Further, this test taker ID will be helpful in evaluating MICAT scores.

Q:   From where can I get MICAT's past year papers?

A: 

Mudra Institute of Communications, Ahmedabad, does not release MICAT question papers. Therefore, candidates may not find the MICAT previous year's question papers online. However, candidates can find the sample questions for the MICAT exam. MICA releases three MICAT sample papers every year along with the exam details. These sample papers host the questions from Descriptive Test and the Aptitude Test. MICA does not share the questions that are or can be asked in the Psychometric Test. The questions in the MICAT sample papers are to provide an idea to the applicants on what to expect from the MICAT examination.

What is MICAT Exam?

MICAT exam, commonly known from MICAT fullform MICA Admission Test, is an online entrance exam conducted for MICA's PGP courses, including PGDM and PGDM-C. MICAT exam is a compilation of objective and subjective questions across different sections. The exam compiles three sections, namely:

  1. Psychotemtric Test
  2. Descriptive Test
  3. Aptitude Test

Section C of the MICAT exam has typical topics as in any other competitive exam. Section C of MICAT exam compiles MCQ type questions from four sub-sections, including Divergent-Convergent Reasoning, Verbal Ability, Quantitative Ability, and General Awareness.

MICAT Exam is Mandatory for MICA PGDM Admissions 2025

Candidates who wish to get admission into MICA, Ahmedabad, must apply to appear for MICAT exam. Those who have appeared for any other MBA entrance exam are also required to apply. Candidate's score in CAT/XAT/GMAT are pre requisites for MICA PGDM selection process. The performance of each candidate in MICAT exam, national-level exams, and GE-PI. Candidaqtes who do not have a valid scores in CAT, XAT or GMAT, are not eligible for MICA PGDM admissions.

MICAT 2 Admit Card 2025

The MICAT 2025 admit card has been issued to the candidates who complete the registration process before the deadline. Applicants must download their MICAT admit cards from the official website, mica.ac.in. MICA issues the MICAT admit card separately for first and second exam phase. Candidates need to carry a hard copy of the MICAT call letter to the exam centre. The admit card of MICAT exam 2025 is to be retained until the admission process concludes.

MICAT Exam Syllabus 2025

MICAT exam comprises three sections with four sub-sections of the last section. MICA does not release an extensive syllabus for the MICAT exam. However, MICAT sample papers and names of the sections are notified along with the exam details. Three sections of MICAT 2025 include:

MICAT Scores 2025

MICAT result 2025 has been announced online on the official website, mica.ac.in. Test takers can check their scores by using their login credentials generated at the time of registration. Post the result, selected candidates will be invited for GE/PI at various MICA campuses.

Difference b/w Scores, Shortlists, and Results

  • MICAT Scores: MICA releases MICAT scores using the marking scheme designed to evaluate the performance of each candidate in the MICAT exam. MICAT scores are released for both the exam phases separately.
  • MICAT Shortlists: MICA releases MICAT shortlists after screening candidates for selection rounds, including GE and PI. MICAT shortlist is to mark the test taker eligible for further selection rounds based on numerous parameters.
  • MICAT Results: MICA releases MICAT results, commonly known as MICAT final results for the candidates who are selected for PGDM admissions at MICA. MICAT final results are also prepared after considering performance of each candidate across multiple parameters.

Candidates are shortlisted for GE-PI based on their performance in CAT/XAT/GMAT, and MICAT scores.

MICA Selection Process 2025

Admission to MICA Ahmedabad involves MICAT or MICA Admissions Test, which is conducted twice a year. It is not mandatory to appear for both tests. The best of the two scores will be considered for candidates who would take both MICAT I and MICAT II. Shortlisted candidates will have to appear for the final selection rounds involving GE and PI.

Step-I: Candidates have to take CAT/ XAT/GMAT exam.

Step-II: Those who have taken any of the above-mentioned exams are eligible for MICAT. In MICAT, all candidates are assessed on the following:

  • Section A: Psychometric Test
  • Section B: Descriptive Test
  • Section C: Verbal ability, Quantitative Ability and Data Interpretation, General Awareness; Divergent and Convergent Thinking

Step-III: GE & PI- Candidates who qualify CAT/XAT/GMAT and MICAT I & II shall appear for both Group Exercise (GE) and Personal Interview (PI).

GE & PI Shortlist Criteria

  • Section A of MICAT, i.e. Psychometric Test is a qualifier.
  • Those who qualify in the Psychometric, their relative performance on CAT/XAT/GMAT will be considered basis of minimum cut off.
  • Those who qualify Section A based on the CAT/XAT/GMAT performance, their performance in Section B of MICAT will be assessed.
  • Thereafter, candidates who qualify for Section B, their performance in Section C will be assessed.
  • Those who clear sections A, B and C will be called for GE/PI at Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Delhi, Kolkata & Mumbai

MICAT Eligibility Criteria 2025

The eligibility criteria for MICAT 2025 are as follows:

  • Candidates should have appeared or will be appearing in CAT 2022/XAT 2025/GMAT (2021 onwards).
  • They must also have obtained a bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in any discipline recognised by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU).
  • Candidates appearing for final year bachelor's degree examinations are also eligible to apply.
