There is no passing mark in SNAP. Candidates scoring more than 0 in the exam are eligible for WAT-PI round of SIU institutes. However, shortlisting of candidates are based on SNAP cut offs, which are between 50 to 99 percentile across the 16 SIU institutes. For example, SIBM Pune cut off for PI shortlisting in 98+ percentile, while SSSS Pune cut off is 55 percentile.

The minimum academic score required in graduation for MBA admission through SNAP is 50% for General category students and 45 % for SC/ST/PwD category students. It is a mandatory criterion so if a candidate does not have this much score, they will not be selected for admission even if they meet the SNAP cut off.

SNAP cut off is not released along with SNAP result. The SNAP accepting colleges release the admission cut offs for PI shortlisting about 15-20 days after result announcement. The SNAP cut offs of every institute is different and determined independently by their admission panel. The SNAP cut offs are usually out by February first week, every year.

Yes, you can appear for SNAP 2025. There is no cap on number of attempts in SNAP. One can appear for the exam, any number of times until they get their desired score. However, it is very important to prepare well for SNAP. Only then one can improve score in the subsequent attempt. One should note down their shortcomings in the first attempt and work on them so that they can make up in the second attempt. 

The official answer key of SNAP is not released. It used to be released till 2019, but since 2020, when the exam was revised to three session mode, the examination body does not release the official SNAP answer key. Since, the format of the exam now is such that it gives the candidate a chance to improve their score, only the scorecards are released finally.

Candidates can however get the unofficial and memory based answer keys from MBA preparation coaching institutes and study groups. These memory based SNAP answer keys help candidates in assessing their performance by providing them possible answers to questions by which they can calculate the number of correct and incorrect attempts.

The official SNAP question paper is not released by the exam authority anymore. It used to be released along with the answer key after the exam until 2019. SNAP mock test is an important part of exam preparation but they should know when to start practicing it. The candidates should start solving mock tests only after completing the SNAP syllabus. October-November is the ideal month to start solving mock tests for SNAP exam preparation as the exam is conducted in December. Those preparing for other entrance exams simultaneously, can practice SNAP mock test without completing the syllabus also as they would be already familiar with the topics, concepts, theorems, etc. Those who have attempted SNAP before, can start their preparation by attempting a SNAP mock test to see how much do they remember. Candidates should start solving the full length SNAP mock tests only when they are confident about every chapter and topic included in the SNAP syllabus.
