Q:   How many SNAP mock tests and question papers should I solve for a good score?

A:

There is no definite number of mock test that the candidate should practice. It totally depends on the candidate’s ability and strength viz a viz the SNAP syllabus. Some candidates need less number of SNAP mock tests to reach the optimum level of preparation whereas some candidates need more number of SNAP mock tests to reach the optimum level.

At the same time, it is recommended that on an average, candidates should practice at least 25-30 SNAP mock tests to perform well in the exam. Candidates should also analyse each and every mock test performance to know their progress. With every consecutive mock test, they should be able to score higher than previous mock test. Every candidate must decide upon the number and quality of mock tests based on their preparation level. They neither should solve less mock tests nor over-do it.

Thumbs Up IconUpvote Thumbs Down Icon

Q:   Is the official SNAP mock test same as SNAP exam paper?

A:

Yes, the official SNAP mock test is same as the SNAP test paper because the main purpose of the official SNAP mock test is to help the candidate gain familiarity with the paper pattern, structure and difficulty level ahead of the exam.

By solving the official SNAP mock test, the candidates can learn key points about the exam pattern, test structure, type of questions, marking scheme. It will also help them in assessing average time taken in solving each question, thereby allowing them to make the exam day strategy wherein they can solve maximum questions correctly in minimum time. The SNAP conducting body even offers prizes for top performers in the official SNAP test which is conducted for registered candidates in October and November. It encourages more and more candidates to take the mock test to be better prepared before the exam.

Thumbs Up IconUpvote Thumbs Down Icon

Q:   Is the SNAP answer key released after exam?

A:

The official answer key of SNAP is not released. It used to be released till 2019, but since 2020, when the exam was revised to three session mode, the examination body does not release the official SNAP answer key. Since, the format of the exam now is such that it gives the candidate a chance to improve their score, only the scorecards are released finally.

Candidates can however get the unofficial and memory based answer keys from MBA preparation coaching institutes and study groups. These memory based SNAP answer keys help candidates in assessing their performance by providing them possible answers to questions by which they can calculate the number of correct and incorrect attempts.

Q:   Can I prepare for SNAP in 3 months?

A:

Yes, SNAP preparation is possible in three months as the difficulty level of this exam is easy to moderate. So, if one starts preparing for it with only three months in hand, even then they can score well if they put in six to eight hours daily into preparation. Complete the syllabus in 45 days and the give one month to mock test practice. In the last few days, do revision for complete preparation. To be in a better position, focus more on the topics from which maximum questions are asked. For example, in General English, most of the questions are Grammar based, so focus on it more. In Quantitative Aptitude section, more questions are asked from Arithmetic and Algebra than Geometry so focus on the former two. SNAP always has at least data interpretation question so don’t ignore it. On the other hand, the Logical Reasoning section of SNAP has maximum number of questions (25) and topics are diverse so pay more attention on this section if you have less time to prepare.

A:

Yes, coaching is recommended for preparation for any competitive exam as the candidate gets best of aid such as books, study material and mentors. However, the candidates must join coaching if only they can follow the rigorous time-table and daily classes.
