TS ICET 2024 Counselling: The Telangana Council of Higher Education (TGCHE) has released the details for TSICET spot admissions. TSICET spot admission notification is available on the official counselling website, tgicet.nic.in. A total of 5216 seats are left vacant after the special phase counselling, TS ICET institutation spot counselling will fill these seats across a total of 333 colleges.

Unlike regular counselling rounds, the participating institutes conduct TSICET institutional spot counselling offline. This round is open to all TSICET applicants, regardless of whether they secured the qualifying score in the entrance exam.

Telangana Council of Higher Education released the TGICET counselling dates. Candidates who got a rank as per the TS ICET results are eligible for the ICET counselling and seat allotment process. Telangana MBA counselling is held online in two phases, i.e. first and final phase. TGCHE may conduct TS ICET spot counselling round to fill the vacant seats after the final phase of counselling concludes.

The first step for TS ICET counselling process includes registration and slot booking. Candidates have to book a slot for certificate verification at the time of TS ICET slot booking. TGCHE conducts a physical certificate verification round for Telangana MBA admissions at the helpline centres.

Candidates who get their certificates verified can exercise options and to choose college-course preferences under TGICET counselling. TGCHE releases the TS ICET seat allotment results on the basis of candidate's rank, TS ICET cutoff, available seats, and category. Q:   How can I attend TSICET counselling?

A:

Candidates aspiring for admissions based on TS ICET ranks have to attend the TS ICET counselling. TSCHE conducts the TS ICET counselling online. Candidates having an eligible TS ICET scores can pay the processing fee for counselling and book slots for certificate verification from the official counselling portal.

Based on the slots booked by the candidate, he/she will be required to appear for the physical certificate verification round. Once the documents are verified, candidates can complete the TGICET counselling registration and generate a password. This password along with other login credentials helps candidates participate in web options entry process held online.

Based on the options exercised, rank, and candidate's category, TGCHE releases the TS ICET seat allotment results. The TGICET allotment results are accessible inside the counsellong login.

The entire process for TS ICET counselling is conducted online with a physical document verification process.

Q:   When will TSICET counselling begin? Who will be eligible to apply for the TSICET counselling?

Telangana Council of Higher Education has released the TSICET counselling dates 2024. All eligible candidates can apply for the counselling registration as per the official admission schedule. The results, along with the final answer key were released on June 14.

All TSICET test takers are not eligible to appear for the counselling process. The eligibility to appear for TS ICET counselling is as follows:

  • Unreserved category candidates securing marks greater than 25 per cent of the total score, i.e. 50 marks, are eligible to participate in the TSICET counselling.
  • Reserved category candidates are eligible for the counselling, irrespective of their TSICET scores.

Q:   What is the validity of TSICET scores?

A:

Typically, TSICET scores are valid for a period not exceeding a year from the result announcement date. Candidates can apply for admissions as per TSICET scores via the centralised counselling process. For instance, if the candidate is aspiring for MBA Admission in 2024-25 batch, he/she must have appeared for TSICET 2024. However, several institutes may entertain admission via TSICET scores after the counselling window is closed. Therefore, it is advisable that candidates check the institute-specific admission criteria before applying for the entrance test.

TSICET counselling is conducted in online mode. Candidates who have qualified for TSICET must register themselves online through the official website. However, the document verification round under the counselling process is held offline at the designated helpline centres. TS ICET Eligibility Criteria for Admission 2024

Candidates need to participate in the counselling process for MBA/MCA admission through TS ICET. Space below mentions the eligibility conditions to be fulfilled for admission based on TS ICET 2024.

  • Only Indian nationals are eligible to fill the TS ICET counselling form
  • Candidates must belong to the state of Telangana/ Andhra Pradesh
  • Passing a minimum three-year bachelor's degree will mark the candidate eligible for MBA admission
  • Candidates must have any of the following degrees to be eligible for MBA admission
    • BCA
    • B.Sc
    • B.Com
    • B.A with mathematics at 10+2 level or at Graduation level
  • A degree obtained via distance learning/ open distance learning must be recognised by a Joint Committee of UGC, AICTE and DEC/DEB

Q:   Is it mandatory to attend the document verification round under the TSICET counselling?

A:
Yes, it is mandatory for all candidates to attend the document verification round as part of the TSICET counselling process. During the document verification process, candidates must present their original documents for verification and provide their biometric details. The purpose of document verification is to ensure that the candidate is eligible for admission to the selected course and to prevent fraudulent activities. Candidates who do not attend the document verification round will be marked ineligible from the Telangana MBA Admission process. Such candidates will not be allowed to participate in the option entry process, further, such candidates are not considered for the seat allotment round. Therefore, it is important for candidates to attend the document verification process physically as per the schedule announced by the authorities. It is also crucial to carry all the required documents in original along with photocopies to the document verification round. Candidates who fail to produce the required documents will not be allowed to participate in further counselling process.

Q:   What is TSICET qualifying cutoff?

Every year, with the release of TSICET notification, TSCHE notifies the qualifying cutoff, also known as qualifying score. Candidates appearing for the TSICET exam must meet the qualifying cutoff to participate in the counselling process. For TSICET 2023, qualifying cutoff has not changed from the previous session, I. e. 25 per cent for unreserved category candidates. Those who belong to reserved categories are eligible for the counselling, irrespective of their scores. Out of 200 marks, your category candidates have to secure 50 marks to be eligible to participate in the counselling process.

TS ICET Counselling Registration 2024

Candidates need to complete the one-time registration by entering the following details:

After hitting the 'Submit' button, candidates will be able to view the basic information page where key details will be filled in automatically. Candidates need to provide a mobile number and email address. In addition, candidates eligible for reservation must also provide the details related to Caste Certificate and Income Certificate (if applicable).

Payment of TS ICET Counselling Fee

Once all the details are filled in, candidates must pay the counselling fee depending on their category. The registration fee can be paid in any of the following modes:

  • Credit Card
  • Debit Card
  • Net Banking

TS ICET 2024 Slot Booking for Certificate Verification

Certificate verification or document verification during the TS ICET counselling is an offline process. Candidates need to book slots for certificate verification. Slot booking includes the candidates choosing a Help Line Centre (HLC), date and time. Candidates can only appear for the certificate verification as per the booked slot. Candidates failing to pay the counselling processing fee or book the slots are not permitted to participate in the certificate verification process.

Candidates need to get their documents verified by the TSCHE officials to proceed with the participation in the TS ICET counselling process. The documents to be carried at the Help Line Centre are as follows:

  • TS ICET 2024 rank card
  • TS ICET hall ticket 2024
  • Aadhaar Card
  • SSC/ Inter or equivalent marks memo
  • Intermediate or its equivalent memo-cum-pass certificate
  • Degree memorandum of marks
  • Degree provisional pass certificate
  • Study/Bonafide Certificate from Class 9 to Degree
  • Transfer Certificate (TC)
  • Caste Certificate of SC/ST/BC/Minorities (if applicable)
  • Income Certificate issued by MRO (on or after January 1, 2024)
  • PH/NCC/CAP/Sports and Games Certificates (if applicable)
  • Residence Certificate for a period of seven years preceding the year of the qualifying exam
  • Employer Certificate (If applicable)

TS ICET Option Entry 2024

TSCHE will share login credentials to exercise options immediately after the certificate verification. Candidates will receive the login ID over the registered mobile number, while the password is to be generated by visiting the official website, i.e. tsicet.nic.in. Candidates can exercise options from home or an internet centre or helpline centre. TSCHE has set no limit on the number of options that can be exercised. Thus, candidates must choose as many options as possible to have better chances of seat allotment. Candidates can choose from the list of TS ICET participating institutes and courses during the option entry process. After submitting the options, candidates must take a printout of the final options saved.

TS ICET Seat Allotment 2024

TSCHE will allot seats to the eligible candidates based on the following factors

  • TS ICET rank
  • Options exercised
  • Number of seats to be filled
  • Reservation criteria
  • TS ICET cutoff rank

Candidates can download the allotment order from the candidate portal using the ROC form number, TSICET hall ticket number, password, and date of birth. The TS ICET allotment order mentions details of the allotted college, tuition fee to be paid and the details of physically reporting to the college. Candidates need to pay the tuition fee to confirm the provisionally allotted seat. Failing to pay the tuition fee within the prescribed duration leads to the cancellation of the allotment order.

Candidates need to follow the steps mentioned below to check the TS ICET seat allotment order:

1st Step: Visit the official counselling website for TS ICET 2024, i.e. tsicet.nic.in

TS ICET Counselling 2024: Final Phase

TSCHE conducts TS ICET counselling in three phases. The final phase counselling process fills the vacant seats left after the first phase of TS ICET counselling. The counselling process under the first and final phases remains the same. Certificate verification is conducted again. Candidates who haven't been able to get their certificates verified need to reach the allotted Help Line Centre for the certificate verification process. However, the candidates whose certificates were verified in the first phase can directly participate in the option entry process.

Key Highlights of TS ICET Final Phase Counselling

Here are some important points to remember after the first phase of TS ICET 2024 counselling.

  • Options exercised in the first phase of TS ICET counselling are not considered for the seat allotment after the final phase. Candidates must exercise fresh options for the final phase of the counselling.
  • Candidates who have been allotted a seat and are aspiring for a better allotment through the final phase of counselling get their initial allotment cancelled in the event of new allotment order. Such candidates do not have any claim to the allotment order generated in the first phase of TS ICET 2024 counselling.
  • The tuition fees paid during the first phase of counselling can be adjusted against the seat allotted during the final phase. However, candidates can also apply for a cancellation/withdrawal of admission.
  • Candidates who are satisfied with their seat allotted in the first phase of counselling must not exercise options in the final phase of TS ICET counselling

Eligibility for Option Entry in Final Phase of TS ICET Counselling

TSCHE will not mark all candidates eligible for the option entry in the final phase. The following candidates are eligible to exercise options in the final phase of TS ICET 2024 counselling:

  • Candidates who have secured a seat in the first phase of counselling but are not interested to join
  • Who have not secured a seat but got their certificates verified
  • Candidates who did not participate in the option entry but got their certificates verified
  • Who have secured a seat, confirmed the seat and yet aspiring for a better option
  • Any other eligible candidates

Cancellation of Seats after TS ICET Counselling

Candidates can cancel/withdraw admission until a stipulated period without forfeiture of the tuition fee paid. To cancel the allotted seats, candidates need to approach the Convener. Candidates can submit an application in person or via post or email. The documents that candidates need to submit along with the seat cancellation certificate are as follows:

  • Original receipt of certificates issued during document verification at the helpline centre.
  • Provisional allotment order
  • Receipt of fee payment
  • Request letter for cancellation of allotted seats

Refund of Tuition Fee in case of Cancellation of Admission

If the candidate plan to cancel the admission, the forfeiture of the tuition fee paid will be done as mentioned below:

  • TSCHE will not forfeit the tuition fee after the first phase seat allotment if the cancellation request is placed before the cutoff date for cancellation of admission. In this case, 100 per cent tuition fee paid will be refunded via the mode used for payment of the fee
  • 100 per cent fee is forfeited after the cancellation request is placed after the final phase in respect of University colleges
  • 50 per cent tuition fee is forfeited after the final phase and before cut off date notified for cancellation as mentioned in the allotment order
  • 100 per cent thereafter in respect of Private Unaided colleges

TS ICET 2024 Counselling: Spot Admission

The leftover vacant seats in Private Unaided MBA colleges are filled through spot admissions. This is held at the respective colleges. For this, candidates need to contact the principles of respective institutions. At the time of spot admission, candidates need to produce the following documents:

  • SSC marks memo in original
  • Marksheet of intermediate or equivalent exam
  • Marksheet of degree
  • Study certificates in original
  • TS ICET 2024 rank card
  • Caste Certificates (if applicable)
  • Residence Certificates (if applicable)
