Compilation of TS ICET Results

TSCHE compiles the TS ICET result with the help of responses marked by the candidate, known as the TS ICET response sheet. TS ICET results 2025 comprise the following elements:

  • TS ICET raw score
  • TS ICET normalised score
  • TS ICET rank

Space below mentions the TS ICET result compilation process:

Calculation of TS ICET 2025 Raw Score

TS ICET raw score is calculated using the formulae derived from the marking scheme. TSCHE considers the number of correct answers attempted by the candidate followed by scoring them based on the marking scheme. Candidates can also calculate the probable raw score using the TS ICET answer key, and response sheet. The TS ICET 2025 marking scheme for raw score calculation is as follows:

  • Each correct response will fetch a +1 mark
  • No negative marking for incorrect response
  • No negative marking for unattempted questions

As each correct response fetches +1, the number of right attempts is the TS ICET raw score.

TS ICET raw score = Number of correct attempts by the test taker

TS ICET 2025 Normalised Marks

TSCHE conducts TS ICET in multiple shifts. Since the difficulty standards of each section might vary. Leading to the asymmetric comparison of scores.

What is TS ICET Normalisation Process?

The normalisation process is used to evaluate all the candidates, across shifts, on a comparative scale. The normalisation of marks may reduce raw scores for all the candidates who appeared in the shift with easy difficulty standards or increase the raw score for all the candidates who appeared in the shift with challenging difficulty standards. An increase or decrease in the raw score to normalise it depends on the average performance of test-takers in each session. TSCHE applies specific formulae to normalise the raw score.

TS ICET Rank Allotment

Based on the normalised scores, TSCHE allots a rank to all the test takers who pass the exam. TS ICET participating institutes releases the TS ICET cutoff ranks soon after the examination process. Candidates with a rank equal to or less than the cutoff rank are eligible for Telangana MBA admission.

TS ICET 2025 Tie-Breaking Criteria

There are cases when the scores of two or more test-takers are identical. TSCHE breaks the tie by providing preference to the candidates in the following chronology.

  1. Candidate with a higher score in Section A of TS ICET 2025 will have the first prefernece.
  2. In case the candidates have an equal score in section A, then the candidate with higher marks in section B will get the preference while rank allotment.
  3. If the tie still persists, TSCHE considers the age of the two candidates. The candidate who is older in age will get the TS ICET rank preference.

NOTE: Candidates belonging to reserved category with a score equal to zero are allotted rank directly based on age. Older candidates are placed higher in the TS ICET rank list.

Q:   Why is TSICET score normalisation process required?

A:
The primary aim of the normalisation of marks in the TSICET examination process is to ensure that all students are evaluated on a similar scale. TSICET score normalisation guarantees that no test taker gets an advantage or a disadvantage due to multiple exam shifts. TSICET normalisation process brings all the test takers, across shifts, on a comparative scale. Since there are different Sets of questions in each shift, test takers who appeared in a shift with an easy set of questions may get their scores reduced after normalisation. Similarly, test takers who appeared in a difficult exam shift of TSICET may get their score improved from the raw score after normalisation. The difficulty standards of each session are evaluated based on the average performance of the test takers in a particular exam shift.
Thumbs Up IconUpvote Thumbs Down Icon

Q:   How to calculate TSICET raw score using the answer key?

A:
To calculate the probable score using the TSICET answer key, candidates must have access to following information/documents: - TSICET answer key - TSICET question paper - TSICET marking scheme - TSICET response sheet Each candidate will be evaluated based on the officially released marking scheme along with the exam details. As per the TSICET marking scheme, test takers get one mark for each correct response. While no negative marking prevails for incorrect responses or unattempted questions. Once the TSICET answer key and question paper is accessible officially, candidates must check the number of correct answers marked by them using the response sheet. The total number of correct responses marked will be the raw score in TSICET exam.
