Q:   How to score high in TSICET exam? Should I practise TS ICET mock tests?

A:
To score high in TSICET exam a candidate must follow an approach to attempt the questions for which he/she knows the answer, and guess the question for which he/she doesn't know the answer. Since there is no negative marking, candidates must attempt all questions. In the speed-based test, one must aim to answer the questions as soon as possible. Coming to TSICET, a test taker has to answer each question in less than 45 seconds to complete the exam on time. To score high in TSICET candidates will have to work on their speed as well as accuracy. Speed and accuracy can be improved by practising previous years papers and mock tests. While answering questions, candidates must not stick on one question for more than 40 seconds. After answering all the questions in 40 seconds or less, candidates will still have five to ten minutes to review the responses.

Q:   What are some important topics included in Communication Ability section of TSICET exam?

The Communication Ability section of the TSICET exam has four sub-sections. These sub-sections compile to fetch 50 questions. The division of topics with weightage under the Communication Ability is as follows:

  • Vocabulary: 10
  • Business and Computer Terminology: 10
  • Functional Grammar: 15
  • Reading Comprehension: 15

Every year, more than 60,000 candidates apply for the TSICET exam. Kakatiya University has been recording an upward move in the graph of total applicants for TSICET exam. The exam duration of TSICET exam is 150 minutes. Candidates need to answer as many as 200 questions across three sections within 150 minutes. These 150 minutes compiles the time to read a question, solve it, and answer the same on the computer. To answer 200 questions within 150 minutes, test taker must read the question, solve, answer and review the response in 45 seconds to complete the exam on time. Analytical Ability section of TSICET exam has questions from topics in Data Sufficiency and Problem-Solving sub sections. A six months’ period for TSICET preparation is sufficient. This is primarily because it allows test takers to divide six months perfectly for a systematic approach of TSICET 2025 preparation.

  1. In the first three months of six months preparation plan for the TSICET 2025 exam, students should aim to cover the whole TSICET syllabus completely. Students should be thorough with all the topics from the three important broad sections. It is important to pick up conceptual clarity while studying the topics.
