AIAPGET Eligibility Criteria 2024 (Released): Minimum Qualification, Age, Attempts

Fulfilling the eligibility requirements is essential for admission process. Reading the AIAPGET eligibility criteria 2024 before filling the application form will ease this process for you. AIAPGET 2024 application process started with online registration on April 16. The last date to submit AIAPGET 2024 application form is May 15.

All India AYUSH Post Graduate Entrance Test (AIAPGET) is a single entrance test for admission to the AYUSH PG courses in India. The eligibility criteria for AIAPGET 2024 has been set by the CCIM/CCH/ CCRUM/CCRS. NTA, the exam conducting body has released the eligibility criteria for AIAPGET 2024. Those applying for this examination must check the AIAPGET eligibility criteria before filling the application forms. If the candidate is found to be ineligible during the admission process, their candidature will be forfeited. Thus, it is important that candidates fill the AIAPGET application form after confirming their eligibility for the respective course.

Aspirants of AIAPGET 2024 must note that the eligibility criteria for this examination is not decided by the National Testing Agency (NTA). There are various authorities that have defined the AIAPGET eligibility criteria, NTA merely displays these conditions on the information brochure. 

AIAPGET Eligibility Criteria 2024: Qualification Requirements

For Ayurveda courses

The eligibility criteria for PG courses in Ayurveda have been defined by the Central Council of Indian Medicine (CCIM). The basic qualification required for these courses is a valid BAMS degree. The candidate must also possess a provisional/permanent registration certificate issued by CCIM.

For Homeopathy courses

The eligibility criteria for PG courses in Homeopathy have been defined by the Central Council of Homoeopathy (CCH). The basic qualification required for these courses is a valid BHMS/Graded BHMS degree. The candidate must also possess a provisional/permanent registration certificate issued by CCH.

For Siddha courses

The eligibility criteria for PG courses in Siddha have been defined by the Central Council for Research in Siddha (CCRS). The basic qualification required for these courses is a valid BSMS degree. Candidate must also possess a provisional/permanent registration certificate issued by CCRS/State Board/Universities/Deemed Universities.

For Unani courses

The eligibility criteria for PG courses in Unani have been defined by Central Council for Research in Unani Medicine (CCRUM). The basic qualification required for these courses is a valid BUMS degree. Candidate must also possess a provisional/permanent registration certificate issued by CCRUM/State Board/Universities/Deemed Universities.

AIAPGET Eligibility Criteria 2024: Internship

To be eligible for AIAPGET 2024, a candidate must complete the period of internship on or before June 30, 2024. Candidates who will not complete their internship by this date are not eligible for AIAPGET 2024.

As proof of eligibility, all applicants must produce a copy of their Internship Completion Certificate, which must state the starting and completion date of their internship.

AIAPGET Eligibility Criteria 2024: Age or Attempt Limit

According to the AIAPGET 2024 eligibility criteria, there is no age limit for the candidates applying for this examination. Also, there is no cap on the number of attempts permitted for admission to PG AYUSH courses. 

AIAPGET Eligibility Criteria 2024: For PwD Candidates

Candidates who wish to apply under the PwD category must also fulfil the general AIAPGET 2023 eligibility criteria stated above. Apart from these, they must also be in compliance with the following definition, “A person with benchmark disability, as defined in Section 2 (r) of the RPwD Act, means a person with not less than 40 percent of a specified disability where specified disability has not been defined in measurable terms and includes a person with disability where specified disability has been defined in measurable terms, as certified by the certifying authority”.

A specified disability, as defined in Section 2 (zc) of the RPwD Act, means the disabilities as specified in the Schedule of the said Act, which includes:

• Mental illness
• Speech and Language Disability
• Visual Impairment: Blindness and Low Vision
• Hearing Impairment: Deaf and Hard of Hearing
• Blood Disorder: Haemophilia, Thalassemia, Sickle Cell Diseases
• Chronic Neurological Conditions: Multiple Sclerosis, Parkinson’s Diseases
• Multiple Disabilities: more than one of the specified disabilities including Deaf-Blindness
• Locomotor Disabilities: Leprosy, Cerebral Palsy, Dwarfism, Muscular Dystrophy, Acid Attack Victims
• Intellectual Disability: Specific Learning Disability (Dyslexia, Dysgraphia, Dyscalculia, Dyspraxia and Developmental Aphasia), Autism Spectrum Disorder

AIAPGET Eligibility Criteria 2024: For Candidates Already Pursuing a PG Course

Some Universities/Institutions have regulations against the candidates who are already pursuing any PG course from their University or any another University. Such candidates will not be eligible to apply for PG admission processes of these universities/institutions. All applicants are advised to check the AIAPGET 2023 eligibility criteria of their desired Universities/Institutions before applying for them.
