AIIMS PG Cut Off 2020: Introduction
To qualify AIIMS PG exam, a candidate needed to score 50th percentile or above. But this is just the qualifying percentile. Not everyone who qualifies the examination can participate in the first round of counselling.
After the announcement of AIIMS PG result, the institute prepares a merit list with the names of the candidates who have scored more than 50th percentile in the exam. The total number of seats available for the current session is calculated. Based on these calculations, the institute picks only the top candidates, eight times the number of seats available for the current session. Selected candidates can participate in the first round of counselling. The last ranks in each category, selected for the counselling process, determine the AIIMS PG cut off for a session.
The qualifying cut off of AIIMS PG 2020 will be useful during the open round of counselling. In this round, all the candidates who have scored more than or equal to the qualifying AIIMS PG cut off (50th percentile) in the examination can participate.
