IMAT 2024: Exam Dates, Application Form, Eligibility, Syllabus, Results

The IMAT exam is conducted by the Institute of Health Sciences, Bhubaneswar which offers a Bachelor in Audiology & Speech Language Pathology (BASLP) and Bachelor in Physiotherapy (BPT) programmes. 

These programmes are offered in full-time mode. Candidates can pursue education in multiple courses like BASLP, and BPT in the stream of Medicine & Health Sciences.

Students who want to appear in the IMAT exam must check the eligibility criteria of the IMAT before appearing in the exam. Candidates must secure the minimum percentage of marks in their qualifying examination 

Candidates who may be appearing for their qualifying examination in March/ April 2024 are also eligible to appear for the IMAT 2024 examination. However, they shall be required to produce evidence of their passing the qualifying examination at the time of admission, failing which they shall lose their right to be considered for admission.

Applicants can appear in the exam by filling the application form of IMAT. Students are advised to be very careful while filling the form, after doing the entry they need to ensure that all the details mentioned in the application form are duly correct. 

Candidates are requested to choose the programme (BASLP/BPT) correctly. After submitting the form, no further requests for a change of programme or category in the application form will be entertained.

Step 1: Go to the official website of IMAT - www.ihs.ac.in. 

Step 2: Click on Apply Online IMAT mentioned at the top of the website. 

Step 3: A new page will be opened, now fill in all the candidates’ details and upload the documents. 

Step 4: After form filling the application fee needs to be paid.

IMAT Application Fees 2024

• The application fee needs to be paid in online mode only and it is non-refundable under any circumstances.  
• IMAT 2024 application fee amount is INR 2,000. 
• The bank charges while making the payment needs to be paid by the applicants.

There is no specific syllabus for IMAT exam which is defined by the exam conducting authority for IMAT. For English subjects, students practice Reading Comprehension (RC), Grammar, and Writing. For Physics class 12 CBSE board syllabus will be sufficient. The current affairs include important events of the last year while for General knowledge (GK) students need to have an idea about the last 10 years events.

Students who successfully fill the application form will be issued the admit card of IMAT 2024. The authorities will send the IMAT hall ticket 2024 to the candidates via email ID. The exact date of sending the hall tickets will be intimated on the official website. Hence applicants are advised to keep checking the official website. 

The result of IMAT exam will be released by the exam conducting authorities within 10-15 days of the conclusion of the exam. In case two applicants secure the same marks in the IMAT 2024 exam then tie-breaking between them will be done based on the below-mentioned order: 

1. Higher marks in the component/section on Physics in the IMAT 2024 exam
2. Higher age
3. Computerised draw of lots

The authorities will take into consideration the first higher marks component followed by the second and then the third.
