FMGE 2024 syllabus was released in the official notification by NBEMS (National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences). NBEMS released the FMGE syllabus in the official FMGE information brochure by the National Board of Examinations (NBE). Aspirants of FMGE 2024 are advised to go through the syllabus at least once during the preparation phase. FMGE syllabus 2024 comprised all the topics that were covered during the undergraduate medical degree course. The FMGE 2024 exam for the December session will be conducted in online mode at the designated test centres across India on January 12, 2025. Along with knowing the syllabus, applicants must also be aware of the FMGE 2024 exam pattern which will help them to compose their strategy for qualifying for the exam in a better way.

Q:   Will there be any subjective type questions in FMGE 2024?

A:

No. The FMGE 2024 exam pattern clearly states that the question paper will only have multiple choice/objective types questions. There will be 300 questions for which 5 hours will be allotted to the candidates. Each question will have a weightage of 1 mark. There will be NO negative marking in the exam.

Q:   Who releases syllabus for FMGE 2024 exam?

National Board of Examinations (NBE) releases the syllabus for FMGE 2024 along with the information brochure. Q:   Can I appear for FMGE exam in Hindi language or any other regional language?

A:

No, FMGE exam is conducted only in English medium. Candidate cannot appear for the FMGE exam in any other regional language. Unlike other competitive exams, there is no other medium of language introduced on this entrance exam.

FMGE exam pattern comprises mode and medium of the exam, total number of questions and their type, time allotted etc. The exam will be held in computer-based mode in English language only. The question paper will be divided in two parts, A & B. Total 300 multiple-choice questions will be asked and candidates will be provided 2 hours 30 minutes for each part. Candidates who score the minimum cut off will be declared qualified for the exam. The minimum qualifying marks is 50% of total, I. e 150 marks out of 300.

The cutoff marks are the minimum marks which applicants need to secure to pass the exam. There are various factors which determine the cutoff marks of FMGE exam. Since FMGE exam is conducted for a total of 300 marks hence applicants need to secure the minimum passing marks.
