National Testing Agency (NTA) will conduct GPAT 2020 on January 24, 2020. GPAT which is commonly known as Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test (GPAT) is conducted for admission to M. Pharma or equivalent courses. The registration for GPAT 2020 will start on November 1, 2019.

Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test, commonly known as GPAT is conducted annually for admission in M. Pharm and equivalent courses. The examination is conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA), a dedicated organization constituted by the Ministry of Human Resource Development solely for the purpose of selecting candidates for various courses and conducting the relevant entrance examinations. GPAT 2020 will be conducted on January 24 next year, and the result will be announced on February 3. All the aspirants who wish to take admission in M. Who is eligible for GPAT 2020?

The eligibility criteria for GPAT 2020 are summarized below. Candidates can go through the GPAT eligibility criteria to find out their eligibility for the same

  • The candidate must have Indian nationality
  • The candidate must be a Bachelor's degree holder in Pharmacy (4 years after 10+2, including lateral entry candidates)
  • Those who are in the final year of B. Pharmacy course are also eligible for appearing in GPAT exam
  • Tech (Pharmaceutical and fine chemical technology) / Equivalent Students are not eligible to appear for GPAT examination
  • There is no upper and lower age limit prescribed for GPAT 2020

How to fill the GPAT 2020 application form?

Filling the GPAT 2020 application form is a four-step process. Steps to fill the application form are given below

Step 1: Register online and note down the system generated application number

  • Visit the official website, ntagpat.nic.in
  • Click on "New Registration"
  • Enter details such as Email Id, mobile number, etc.
  • Create a password
  • Choose security question
  • Note down your password, security question and its answer
  • Note down the system generated application number

Step 2: Complete the GPAT application form

  • Login using application number and password
  • Proceed to fill the application form
  • Check all the details before submitting the form

Step 3: Upload scanned images

  • Upload scanned copy of a passport-sized photograph
  • Upload scanned copy of the signature
  • Check the photograph and signature before final submission

Step 4: Pay GPAT application fee

  • Choose the desired mode of payment (Net banking/ credit card/ debit card/ E-challan)
  • Print the confirmation page

When to expect the GPAT 2020 result?

GPAT result 2020 will be declared on February 3, 2020, by the National Testing Agency. The result of GPAT 2020 will be announced online and candidates can check the same by logging into their registered account. Post the result of GPAT 2020, candidates will have to register themselves on the Medical Counselling Committee or MCC portal to participate in the GPAT counseling.

What is GPAT cut off?

The marks or rank of the candidate last admitted through GPAT determines the cutoff for a year. The cut-offs are different for the candidates belonging to different categories. GPAT cutoff 2020 can help the candidates understand the difficulty level of the examination. The cut off for GPAT 2020 will be released by NTA post the declaration of the result. Till then candidates can refer to the GPAT cut off data of the last year given below.

GPAT 2020 Counselling

Candidates successfully selected in the merit list will be considered eligible for participating in the GPAT 2020 Counselling. NTA will conduct GPAT 2019 counseling in online mode and no centralized counselling will be organized by the board. Several participating institutions accepting the GPAT Scores will conduct their individual counselling. At the time of counselling, students have to carry some important documents at the allotted counselling venue for the document verification process. Below is the list of necessary documents

  • Class 10th and Class 12th Mark sheet and Pass certificate
  • Graduation mark sheet
  • Migration certificates
  • GPAT 2020 scorecard
  • Provisional certificate
  • Any government ID proof such as Aadhar card, voter ID card, PAN card, etc.
