GPAT 2024 or the Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test 2024 is scheduled to take place on June 8, 2024 in two shifts. Since this year exam conducting authority has been changed, earlier it used to be NTA but from this year onwards National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBMES) will conduct the exam.

The morning shift of GPAT 2024 exam will begin from 9 am to 12 noon and the forenoon shift will commence from 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm. NBEMS has all the rights reserved to organize and manage the GPAT 2024 exam and has set several exam day guidelines as well to address the candidates in order to avoid any confusion.

Q:   Who will announce the GPAT exam dates for 2025?

A:

The GPAT exam dates will be announced by the exam conducting authority National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) on the official notification. It will be released on the website at natboard(dot)edu(dot)in. 

As per previous year trends, GPAT 2025 exam will be conducted in June, 2025. The morning shift of GPAT 2025 is generally conducted from 9 am to 12 noon and the forenoon shift will be conducted from 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm.

Q:   Can I choose the exam centre for the GPAT exam?

A:
Yes. Candidates can select the GPAT test centre while filling out the application form. Candidates are given three choices to fill out the GPAT application form. The GPAT exam will be organised in 110 exam cities in India. Candidates will have to choose any three preferred exam cities as per their convenience and vicinity to the hometown.

Q:   Can I leave the examination hall if I complete GPAT exam before time?

A:
No, even if you finish the GPAT entrance exam before time, you will not be allowed to leave the examination hall. Candidates will be allowed to leave the examination centre after completion of the designated 3 hours only.

GPAT 2024 Exam Day Guidelines

National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) will set several rules and regulations which are required to be followed by the candidates on the exam day. NBEMS has specified in detail about everything like what things candidates can bring and what’s prohibited in the exam hall, what stationary and the documents the candidates are allowed to bring on the exam day and several other important instructions.

Candidates are required to keep a check on the following things before appearing for the GPAT 2024 exam

GPAT Admit Card 2024

The GPAT admit card will be released soon. Candidates are required to check all the details printed on the admit card thoroughly to avoid any confusion. The admit card of GPAT has the following details printed on it:

Q:   Can I bring a calculator to the GPAT exam centre?

A:
No, candidates are not allowed to carry a calculator or any other electronic gadget to the GPAT exam centre. There is a complete list of things to do and avoid at the GPAT exam centre which candidates are advised to read carefully. Things prohibited at the GPAT test center includes: Any paper having textual material on it such as log tables or any written/printed content, Smartwatches, Mobile Phones or any other electronic devices, slide rules etc. Other rules will be mentioned on the GPAT admit card.

Q:   What if I reach the GPAT test center after the reporting time or after the gate closes?

A:
In case you reach the GPAT test center after the reporting time is over, your entry will be banned or restricted. It is mandatory to reach the GPAT test center as per the reporting time mentioned on the GPAT admit card. Once the gate closes, no candidates will be allowed to enter the examination hall. In case of any health emergency or other issue, the final decision rests with the exam center authorities to allow or restrict the entry of the aspirant.

Q:   What is the reporting time of the GPAT test centre?

A:
The reporting time of the GPAT test center varies on year-on-year basis. As the exam will be conducted in two shifts, first one in the morning session from 9 am to 12 noon and the second from 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm, therefore, the reporting time will be mentioned on the GPAT admit card. It is mandatory for the candidates to be present at the test centre at the reporting time mentioned on their admit card.

A:
GRADUATE PHARMACY APTITUDE TEST GPAT is a top national-level entrance examination conducted for admission to MPHARM programmes. The GPAT exam score is accepted by 900+ colleges in India for admission to several courses.

Q:   What are the time slots for the Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test, GPAT Exam?

A:

Last year, the GPAT exam was conducted in two-time slots. In the previous year, the GPAT exam was conducted in the morning slot only from 9 AM to 12 PM. the afternoon/forenoon slot was held from  02:30 P.M. to 05:30 P.M at the physical test centres in computer-based format. National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) will share the schedule for the GPAT exam day time slots through the official notification at the official website.

  • Candidate’s name

  • Reporting time at the exam centre

  • Centre gate closing time

  • Exam date

  • Test and shift timing

Important Instructions to follow on/before GPAT Exam Day

Here are the exam day tips that will help you appear for the exam with ease:

  • Candidates are advised to get familiarize with the exact location of the exam centre by visiting the same a day before exam or by leaving early on the exam day.

GPAT Reporting Time Guidelines

  • Candidates should try to reach the exam venue at the reporting time mentioned on the GPAT 2024 Admit Card.

  • Candidates failing to reach the GPAT exam centre on time will not be allowed to enter the exam hall. If you report beyond the Gate Closing time of Centre, you will not be allowed to enter in the Test venue.

  • NBEMS has also asked the officials to conduct a pre-examination check before the commencement of the examination hence, the candidates should try to reach the centre before time. Instructions have been issued for strict compliance.

GPAT Exam Day Dos and Dont's 

Candidates should carry the below-mentioned belongings they are required to bring at the centre on the day of exam:

    • GPAT 2024 Admit Card downloaded from the official website (a clear visible colour printout on an A4 size sheet).

    • One Passport size photograph (same as uploaded with the Online Application Form) to be pasted on the Attendance Sheet at the Centre.

    • A valid photo ID proof in original (PAN card/ driving license/ voter ID/passport/ aadhaar card (With photograph)/E- aadhaar/ration card/ bank passbook with Photograph).

    • ID cards or images stored in mobile phones etc will not be accepted (Note: No candidate will be allowed to enter the exam centre, without identity verification).

    • Person with disability (PwD) certificate issued by the competent authority, if claiming the relaxation under PwD category. PwD candidates are required to report early at the centre so that arrangements can be made on time.

Things Prohibited at the GPAT Exam Centre 2024

Candidates are not allowed to carry the following items at the GPAT exam centre: 

  • Any instrument/geometry/pencil box

  • Handbag

  • Purse

  • Any kind of paper/stationary/textual material (printed or written material)

  • Eatables and water (loose or packed)

  • Mobile phone/ear phone/microphone/pager

  • Smartwatch/calculator/ docu-pen/ slide rule/log tables/camera/tape recorder

  • Any metallic item or electronic gadget

    Note: There will be no provision at the centre to keep the candidate’s valuables.

GPAT Exam Centre Guidelines/Etiquettes

  • Candidates will receive a pen/pencil and blank sheets for rough work at the exam hall.

  • Candidates are required to submit the rough sheets after finishing the exam to the invigilator with their name and roll number at the top along with the admit card.

  • Applicants are required to provide all the required details in the attendance sheet in clear writing, provide their left-hand thumb impression along with their signature and paste the passport-size photograph on the space provided. 

  • Candidates are advised to follow all the instructed practices during the examination and should not indulge in any kind of unfair practices.

  • Any candidate found doing such activities his/her exam will be cancelled without any notice.

  • No student should adopt any unfair means or indulge in any unfair examination practices. The candidature of candidates in case of impersonation will be automatically cancelled without any notice.

  • Candidates are advised to carefully listen to the verbal instructions given by the invigilator before the commencement of the exam. 

Students should keep their admit card safe as it may required in next step of admission process i.e counselling. After the conclusion of the exam, the authorities will release the GPAT result 2024 in online mode.

No, Applicants who are planning to appear in GPAT exam must note that there will be no refund if the candidates who completed the registration and pay the application fees. Hence one must be very careful before filling the form and submit the fees while appearing in the exam.
