Delhi University has scrapped the DU Joint Admission Test, along with other entrance exams that were conducted for admission to UG courses. By adopting CUET 2022 for DU admission, Prof Yogesh Singh, Vice-Chancellor of Delhi University conveyed that admission to all UG courses will be based on the Common University Entrance Test. Since then, BBA (FIA), BMS, and BBE aspirants were confused about the fate of the DU JAT exam with CUET coming to play.

CUET 2022 Exam Pattern for BBA, BMS, BBE Courses offered by DU

With the release of Delhi University’s UG admission bulletin, the new admission process for these courses has come to light. CUET 2022 is divided into three sections:

  • First section is for a language, BBA, BMS, BBE aspirants need to choose a language of their choice. This section will include 50 questions, out of which 40 should be compulsorily attempted.
  • Second section is for a domain-specific subject, here aspirants must choose Mathematics if they wish for admission to BBA, BMS, or BBE courses offered by the DU JAT participating colleges. This section will include 50 questions, out of which 40 should be compulsorily attempted.
  • The third section is the General Test which entails 75 questions, out of which 60 are compulsory. The third section will have subsections including
    • General Knowledge
    • Current Affairs
    • General Mental Ability
    • Numerical Ability
    • Quantitative Reasoning
    • Logical and Analytical Reasoning

DU JAT will not be conducted; however, the general test will have questions similar to that asked as per the DU JAT exam syllabus.

Delhi University Eligibility Criteria for BBA (FIA), BMS, and BBE

There is no change in the eligibility criteria for admission to BBA (FIA), BMS, and BBE courses. Irrespective of the change of entrance test, the DU JAT eligibility criteria have been accepted. Candidates must have studied Mathematics in Class 12. However, there is no minimum qualifying score this year. Candidates just need to pass the board exams.

CUET 2022 Application Form for DU JAT Courses

Candidates need to fill the CUET UG application form for admission to BBA (FIA), BMS, and BBE courses. Followed by qualifying the CUET exam. The CUET registration window is open until May 6 at cuet.samarth.ac.in.

After the candidates have qualified the CUET exam, Delhi University will conduct centralised counselling. The admissions will be based on centralised counselling.
