The Board has released an official statement for Class 10, 12 students participating in sports events or olympiads. Here;s what happen for the students who miss the CBSE 10th, 12th Board Exam 2024 due to their participating in national or international sports events and international Olympiads.
CBSE 2024 Board Exams: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is prepping to conduct CBSE Class 10, and 12 Board Exams 2024 in February and March. The Board has released an official statement for Class 10, 12 students participating in sports events. For the students who miss the CBSE 10th, 12th Board Exam 2024 due to their participating in national or international sports events and international Olympiads, the Board has decided to conduct special CBSE Class 10 and Class 12 exam at a later date.
The schools wanting the Board to conduct special exams for their student are required to send applications to the concerned regional office with the recommendation of the Sports Authority of India and Homi Bhabha Centre for Science Education respectively by December 31. A certificate of participation will have to be issued by the nodal officers of the concerned organisations.
A statement released by CBSE in this regard stated that in an attempt to promote sports and other educational competitions among the youths, CBSE will provide the facility of special exams at a later date for students whose CBSE board exams clash with their dates of national and international sports events and international olympiads including dates of the journey for the events for the board exams 2024.
However, the sport event must be recognised by the Sports Authority of India (SAI) and the Board of Cricket Control in India (BCCI) and the Olympiad recognised by the Homi Bhabha Center for Science Education (HBCSE).
However, no separate or special CBSE 2024 examination opportunity will be available for the compartment and practical exams.
