The Central Board of Secondary Education will resume the evaluation work four days after the nationwide coronavirus lockdown is over.
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has said that it is will start the evaluation process four days after the nationwide coronavirus lockdown is uplifted. The decision was made during an online meeting between 100 school principals from across India, which was chaired by CBSE exam controller Dr. Sanyam Bhardwaj.
During the meeting, it was also discussed that the CBSE will conduct the remaining papers after lockdown, and the new CBSE date sheet 2020 will be released on the official website of the Board shortly.
The Board is also planning to increase the number of examiners to complete the evaluation process for CBSE Class 10 and CBSE Class 12 answer sheets. This will help the board to declare CBSE 10th Result 2020 and CBSE 12th Result 2020 on time.
"The Ministry of Human Development Resources (MHRD) is being contacted and the new CBSE Date Sheet 2020 for the rest of the examinations will be announced as soon as it is approved from there," the minister said in a statement.
As per the sources, the Board is planning to conduct exams on Sundays as well, to complete the process quickly.
Points discussed in the meeting:
- CBSE will start the evaluation process four days after the lockdown ends.
- New CBSE Date Sheet 2020 for remaining papers will be announced soon after the approval of the HRD Ministry.
- Exams might be conducted even on Sunday.
- Maximum 10 students can be admitted to a classroom.
- 75% attendance is compulsory in online classes.
- CBSE schools can trim the syllabus from Classes 1 to 8.
