CBSE Private Candidate Practical Exam 2024 Guidelines

Private students appearing for CBSE Class 10, 12 practical exams 2024 must note that the latest guidelines released by the Board include instructions regarding venue, answer books, schools, appointment of external examiners, uploading of marks, action by students, schools, and examiners.

As per the Board, CBSE private candidate practical exams 2024 are being conducted for students of the last two years whose marks are not available due to repetition in practical or theory exams or for being absent in exams. The exams will also be held for students of 2021 who applied for practical exams.

CBSE has also directed regional offices to prepare a list of students whose exams are to be conducted, inform students about their pending exams, appoint external examiners in advance, and ensure timely completion of practical exams, uploading of marks, and receipt of answer books.

 Schools to appoint internal examiners

The practical exams for all students will be conducted at the exam centres fixed for theory exams, CBSE said. While the external examiners will be appointed by the CBSE regional offices, the internal examiners will be appointed by the schools themselves.

The CBSE private students will have to contact their exam centres with a copy of their previous marksheet and admit card of the exam. The board asked students to note down the date and time of practical exams and report to the exam centre accordingly.

Uploading of Marks

Guiding on uploading of marks, the board said, “after the conduct of practical examinations, the centres will upload the marks in respect of private students whose practicals have been conducted at the centre. The award lists will also be uploaded on the day of practical examination itself, after signatures of internal and external examinations.”
