With the announcement of Maharashtra HSC Results 2022, the varsities in the state commenced the process of admission for the first year at the undergraduate level. However, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), and Council of Indian Certificate of Secondary Examination (ICSE) are yet to announce Class 12 results. With delayed CBSE 12th results and ISC results 2022, tension among students are rising.

Seats reserved for CBSE 12th, ISC students awaiting board results 2022

However, understanding the situation, it has been decided that 10% of the seats will be reserved for CBSE 12th and ISC students in the first-year admission process. The varsity has also decided to increase the seats to colleges up to 10% as required.

Every year, State Board results are announced after CBSE, and ICSE results. However, this time, CBSE 12th results 2022 and ISC results 2022 have been delayed due to the change in their assessment system. There is no exact information on ISC results 2022 date or CBSE 12th Results 2022 date and time.

However, the commencement of the admission process for undergraduate-level courses in Maharashtra universities and colleges made CBSE and ISC students question the authorities.

Following various discussions, the Pro-Vice-Chancellor of the Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU), Dr Sanjeev Sonawane said that the varsity reviewed the admission process of the last few years and the percentage of students from CBSE, ICSE and other boards comes at the top ten per cent. Some students also get admission to autonomous colleges.

“With this in mind, 10% of the seats in the academic departments of the university will be reserved for these students. It will also be approved to provide additional seats up to 10% as per the demand of the colleges for the admission requirement of these students. The decision was taken as students of CBSE, ICSE also needs to get opportunities in the admission process,” he added further.

Candidates willing to apply for SPPU admissions 2022 must note that the last date to apply for Pune University UG Admissions 2022 is July 17. A total of 13 courses are offered at SPPU. Admission to these courses are conducted via entrance examinations conducted on a single day. However, entrance exams for SPPU postgraduate courses are held on different days.
