Upon successful completion of the course, the students will not only receive a BBA degree from IGNOU but a work experience certificate will also be given to them by the company.

The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) launched a new course for 10+2 pass candidates. According to the reports, the course named Bachelor of Business Administration (Services Management) is being offered by the IGNOU in collaboration with Maharashtra Knowledge Corporation Limited (MKCL). The classes for the same will commence in the July session. The course is work-based on which students will gain work experience along with learning. The company will also give a monthly stipend to the students.

The latest reports suggest, upon successful completion of the course, the students will not only receive a BBA degree from IGNOU but a work experience certificate will also be given to them by the company.

The learning materials will be provided to students in a laptop or tablet or a smartphone. Selection of the students will be based on an entrance exam and the duration of the course is 3 years. While the entrance exam will be held on June 14, the last date to submit the applications is June 10.

IGNOU BBA (Service Management): Eligibility

  • Passed 10+2 or equivalent from a recognized institution as on July 1, 2020.
  • Attained at least 18 years of age on July 1, 2020
  • Cleared the entrance exam conducted for the purpose of admission to this programme
  • Working / Willing to work full time in the services industry as an intern/ Apprentice/ Employee

BBA (Service Management): Programme Details

The 3-year BBA programme in Service Management is an English medium course with the annual fee of Rs 20,000. For pursuing the programme, students have to reside at the place wherever they are selected for the internship.

Meanwhile, following the social distancing norms as directed by the government, IGNOU offers its study material through its online portal and started services like 'Gyan Vani' and 'Gyan Darshan' to reach out to students.
