Under G20 Presidency initiatives, the Department of Computer Engineering, Jamia Millia Islamia is organizing a 3-week short-term training program on Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning from July 4, 2023, to July 22, 2023.
The course is open to all Diploma, UG, PG and PhD scholars and Faculty with a Maths background.
The registration fee for JMI students and academicians is INR 4000, for other students and academicians, it is INR 6000, for industry participants, the fee is INR 10,000 and for Foreign/NRI, it is USD 150.
The course offers lectures as well as hands-on sessions from subject experts. It comprises five modules -Introduction to AI and Python Basics, Applied Data Science with Python, Machine Learning Algorithms, Deep Learning for Computer Vision using Keras & Tensorflow, and Deep Learning for Natural Language Processing using Keras & Tensorflow.
Industry practitioners and Expert faculty from JMI and other reputed central/foreign universities, IITs, NITs, and IIITs shall deliver lectures. A total of 80 seats are available, out of which 30 are reserved for offline participants and 50 seats for online on a First Come First Served basis. Sessions shall be conducted from Monday-Saturday from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm.
University of Pennsylvania, USA delegation visits JMI
A twenty-two-member delegation from the University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia led by Dr. Peter Eckel, Director of Leadership Programme and Co-Director, Penn Project on University Governance visited Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI). The delegation had an interaction with JMI Vice Chancellor, Prof. Najma Akhtar (Padma Shri), Deans, faculty members and selected students of the university at Mir Taqi Mir Hall, JMI. The delegation engaged with JMI faculty and students to learn about student experiences, quality and social relevance & faculty work and research and also looked for possible academic tie-ups. Dr. Alok Kumar Mishra, Joint Secretary, AIU was also present during the programme.
