To help students with the upcoming Common University Entrance Test (CUET), Delhi University has begun an online orientation-cum-guidance program. The program is scheduled to continue until July 7, and will have university officials and experts addressing the queries of aspirants.
During the inaugural session, the senior DU officials gave the candidates an overview of the examination process. They also informed the aspirants that in the follow-up sessions, the varsity’s resource persons will address domain-specific queries and also discuss the pattern of questions likely to be prepared for CUET.
The senior officials from the varsity also gave an overview of theNational Education Policy (NEP) 2020, which will be implemented from the upcoming academic session 2022-23 and the various courses and flexibility that DU students will have.
While speaking at the inaugural session, DU’s dean of students’ welfare, “The objective of the programme is to provide orientation and academic guidance to the students. We cannot go into detailed curriculum discussions for all the subjects, but we will give an idea about how the multiple-choice questions will be designed, what are the tricks to recognise the correct answers and even provide mock tests. Students can assess themselves through the mock tests and will also get to know about the various learning resources available to them.”
“I’m sure students have already begun their preparations to an extent but the time has come to move towards specifications,” he added.
Delhi University from this academic year will do away with the old age practice of admission through merit list or cut off and has adopted CUET 2022 for enrolling students into the varsity.
