DU Exams 2022: Delhi University has begun the offline examination for second and third-year undergraduate students after a gap of more than two years due to the COVID-19 pandemic. As per the reports, over 29,500 students appeared for the exams for 40 papers that were conducted in the morning. 

D S Rawat, Dean of examination, DU, said that "the exams for the majority of the courses have begun. This is after two years that the university is holding a physical mode of examination. Proper arrangements have been made,” Rawat said. The examinations of undergraduate students are being conducted in two sessions in a day," as reported by Indian Express.

DU Exams 2022 began on May 11, 2022. The Delhi University's School of Open Learning (DU SOL) also conducted the exams for three papers. 

For 66 papers, the examinations were conducted in the evening and all COVID-19 protocols were followed and students were given an additional 30 minutes for the exam, he said.

β€œThe duration of exams of undergraduate, post-graduate, professional programmes is three hours and an additional 30 minutes is being provided as a special one-time measure,” Rawat added.

However, for persons with benchmark disability (PwBD) the time to complete the examination is four hours and 40 minutes. It includes an additional 40 minutes as a special one-time measure and an extra time of 20 minutes per hour.

Delhi University began the examinations for the students with Essential Repats on Monday and Tuesday. The DU has advised students to carry hand sanitizer and water bottle to the examination centre and to follow all COVID-19 protocols.
