521 students awarded degrees at IIT Patna 9th convocation
A total of 242 BTech, 64 MSc, 113 MTech and 102 PhD students received degrees. Of these, 422 were male and 99 were female students.
The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Patna conducted its ninth convocation in which 521 students were awarded degrees. A total of 242 BTech, 64 MSc, 113 MTech and 102 PhD students received degrees on the occasion.
Jalaj A Dani, chairman, Addverb Technologies Limited, was the chief guest on the occasion, while G Satheesh Reddy, scientific advisor to Defence Minister, was the guest of honour. Of the 521 students who were awarded degrees, 422 were male and 99 were female students.
The degrees were awarded in various branches of engineering, science, and social sciences which include civil and environmental engineering, computer science engineering, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, mathematics, physics, chemistry, chemical and biochemical engineering, humanities and social science, metallurgical and materials engineering, mathematics and computing, and mechatronics.
Apart from degrees, students were also honoured with medals and prizes which include the President of India Gold Medal, Director’s Gold Medal, Chairman’s Gold Medal, Aryabhatta Gold Medal, Institute Silver Medals, Shri Kedar Nath Das Memorial Award Professor Dibyendu Mukherjee Prize and Institute Proficiency Prizes.
Jalaj A Dani congratulated the graduating students and motivated them to enjoy studying and discover unconventional methods. He inspired college students to evolve and adapt over time. He concluded his speech by congratulating the students once again and wish them luck in their future endeavours.
