Chief Minister of Assam visits Tezpur University

The Chief Minister's visit to Tezpur University serves as a testament to the government's commitment to fostering educational excellence and research-driven innovation in Assam, said the university's official statement.

The Chief Minister of Assam, Himanta Biswa Sarma visited Tezpur University on June 30, 2023. The visit aimed to underscore the state government's commitment to promoting education, research, and innovation in the state.

During the visit, the Chief Minister interacted with the Vice Chancellor of the University, Prof. Shambhu Nath Singh along with the Deans, Heads of the Departments, and other administrative officials. The discussions revolved around various topics including the expansion of educational opportunities, strengthening research areas, and improving the ranking of the University. 

The Chief Minister urged all stakeholders to develop academic excellence by chalking out a holistic plan. He assured all support from the state government for the academic development of the University.

The Vice-Chancellor expressed gratitude to the Chief Minister for accepting his invitation to visit the University, which he extended during his visit to Chief Minister’s Office recently, with his presence. 

Tezpur University looks forward to further collaboration with the government of Assam, building upon the advice given during CM’s visit, said the official statement. The University remains dedicated to advancing knowledge, nurturing talent, and contributing to the socioeconomic development of the state.

GATE Qualified Candidates can take admission to MTech Programme directly

The university has released the provisional list of candidates for direct admission to the MTech Programme.

Subject to verification of original documents and satisfaction of the minimum requirement of qualification, the GATE-qualified candidates in the attached list are provisionally selected for admission/ waitlisted for a chance admission to M. Tech programs for the academic session 2023-2024.

The candidates from the Merit List for admission / Wait List for chance admission shall have to book the seat(s) online on July 07, 2023 (Friday) from 9.30 a.m. onwards.

Candidates are requested to check their registered email/mobile to get a link for booking their seat. After getting the link the students will be required to report online for getting approval of their candidature. Only approved candidates will be allowed to pay their admission fees online for booking the seat within the specified time given for payment.

The amount of fees to be paid at the time of booking a seat is INR 29743.00 (INR 30943.00 for M.Tech. in Energy and M. Tech. in Food Engineering and Technology).
