GATE 2025 Application Form Last Date Extended: Forms Available Till (October 3, 2024)

IIT Roorkee has extended the last date for GATE 2025 registrations. Candidates can now submit their application forms till October 3, 2024 (without a late fee). To apply, candidates must visit the official website—gate2025.iitr.ac.in or the GOAPS portal. The last date to submit the GATE form with a late fee is October 7, 2024. The last date for the GATE 2025 application form submission has been rescheduled to October 3, 2024 (11:59 pm) without a late fee due to several requests from applicants. Earlier, the deadline for the GATE form was September 26, 2024 (without a late fee). Candidates who want to get admission to higher studies in IITs, NITs, IIITs, etc, can now apply. The last date to fill out the exam form is now October 3, 2024, without a late fee, and till October 7, 2024, with a late fee charge of INR 500. 

GATE 2025 Application Process 

The mode of GATE registration is online. Candidates who meet the eligibility criteria must visit the official website and apply by the due date. The step-by-step process to fill out the GATE exam form is as follows -

• Visit the official website of GATE- gate2025.iitr.ac.in
• Look for the GOAPS portal and click on the application form
• Register by entering your name, e-mail id, mobile number, etc. 
• Once the registration is complete, candidates will receive an enrollment ID and password.
• Now log in using the required credentials and complete the application form.
• Candidates must provide details about their education, personal information, exams, etc.
• Upload documents, such as photographs, signature, and certificates as per the specifications. 
• Recheck all the details and proceed to complete the payment.
• Confirm the declaration and submit the GATE form. 
• Keep a copy of the form and take a printout for future reference. 

GATE 2025 Application Fees

Payment of the GATE 2025 registration fee is a mandatory step in the registration process. The fees for the GATE exam is as follows -

• For female/SC/ST/PwD candidates, the GATE 2025 fee is INR 900 (during the regular period) and INR 1400 (during the extended period)
• For other categories, including foreign nationals, the GATE fee is INR 1800 (during the regular period) and INR 2300 (during the extended period)
• The mode of payment is online. Candidates can pay via online banking/debit card/credit card, or UPI. 

The GATE is a national-level exam conducted jointly by the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bengaluru, and seven Indian Institutes of Technology to offer admission to postgraduate and research-based programs. IIT Roorkee will conduct the GATE 2025 examination in two sessions on February 1, 2, 15, and 16, 2025.
