IIT Kanpur Alumni Delhi Chapter and DST Join Hands for Startup Master Class 2024
IIT Kanpur Alumni Association, Delhi Chapter, in collaboration with DST, is hosting Startup Master Class 2024 to empower entrepreneurs and showcase innovative ideas nationwide.
The IIT Kanpur Alumni Association, Delhi Chapter, in partnership with the Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of India, is set to host Startup Master Class (SMC) 2024 on November 23, 2024. This one-day event aims to inspire and empower entrepreneurs nationwide while spotlighting their groundbreaking innovations. Supported by IBM, the Indian National Science Academy (INSA), TiE, the Indian Angel Network (IAN), and other leading organizations, SMC 2024 will serve as a dynamic platform to foster innovation and drive the creation of world-class deep-tech products from India.
The conference is tailored to engage a diverse audience, including startup founders, investors, venture capitalists, policymakers, and academicians. Startups will benefit from direct access to mentorship, funding opportunities, and collaborations with leaders from academia, government, and industry. Investors will connect with high-potential startups specializing in deep-tech fields like artificial intelligence, quantum technologies, and cyber-physical systems key pillars of India’s future tech roadmap.
Startup Master Class 2024
SMC 2024 will offer impactful sessions, interactive workshops, and extensive networking opportunities to fuel entrepreneurial growth. Highlights include a Demo Day, where select founders will pitch their innovations to leading investors, and personalized mentorship sessions providing strategic insights to refine entrepreneurial approaches. With over 500 startup delegates expected, the event promises to be a vibrant hub of ideas and collaboration.
This year’s edition continues its legacy by aligning with four of India’s pivotal National Missions: the National Quantum Mission, the National Mission on Interdisciplinary Cyber-Physical Systems (NM-ICPS), the Waste to Wealth Mission, and the National Geospatial Programme. These initiatives aim to advance quantum research, robotics, AI, sustainability, and geospatial technologies, reinforcing India’s position as a global leader in these transformative domains.
Since its inception in 2015, SMC has established itself as a cornerstone of the entrepreneurial ecosystem, hosting over 20 successful conferences across 10 cities in India. The platform has engaged more than 10,000 entrepreneurs and featured over 1,000 prominent speakers.
