IIT Kharagpur to organise workshop on India’s Energy-Water-Food-Health Nexus

Today is the last date to fill out the Google form to apply to the one-week online workshop - Responsible Research and Innovation in India’s Energy-Water-Food-Health Nexus by IIT Kharagpur from July 31 to August 4, 2023.

IIT Kharagpur in collaboration with the University of Edinburgh is planning to organize a one-week online workshop - Responsible Research and Innovation in India’s Energy-Water-Food-Health Nexus. 

PhD scholars from both the University of Edinburgh and IIT Kharagpur who are interested in facilitating the project work are encouraged to apply. The course is also open to all 2nd year or above UoE undergraduate students and post-graduate from both the University of Edinburgh and IIT Kharagpur with an interest in the topic.

"If the students have a passion to learn about and contribute to sustainable development in an international context, then this week-long summer programme will give a unique opportunity to explore some key challenges from the Indian perspectives. Water, energy, food, and health are all critical to human and planetary sustainability, and each of these intersects with the other three in finding solutions to current problems," reads the official notification.

"The workshop will comprise around 20 research scholars and 20 UG/PG students engaged in lectures, discussions, and problem-solving activities based on real-world examples from both urban and rural India. Students from all disciplines are welcome to apply," added the notification.

IIT Kharagpur to also hold a CEP International Summer Symposium on Minor Media/Cinema: Concepts, Differences, Materialities from July 31, to August 3, 2023.
