IIT Mandi 12th Convocation
The Indian Institute of Technology Mandi is set to organise its 12th Convocation on September 28, 2024honouringng the achievements of 636 graduating students, including 297 undergraduates, 284 postgraduates, and 55 Ph.D. scholars. The ceremony will feature Manoj Jain, Chairman & Managing Director of Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL), as the Chief Guest.
Guests of Honor will include Prof. Rajeev Ahuja, Director of IIT Ropar; Narendra Kumar Arya, Director of ER & IPR at DRDO; and Krishna Ika, CEO & Chairman of Brainwave Science. The event will be presided over by Lt. Gen. Kanwal Jeet Singh Dhillon (Retd.), Chairman of the Board of Governors, IIT Mandi. The 12th IIT Mandi convocation promises to be a memorable event, celebrating the academic excellence and innovative spirit of its graduates.
Reflecting on the upcoming convocation, Prof. Laxmidhar Behera, Director of IIT Mandi, expressed, "I extend my heartfelt congratulations to all our graduating students. About Chief Guest Manoj Jain, Chairman & Managing Director of BEL
Manoj Jain commenced his career at Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL) in 1991 as a Probationary Engineer after earning a Gold Medal in Electronics Engineering from MNIT Jaipur. Over his distinguished career, he has made substantial contributions to Research & Development, particularly in digital multiplexers, military switches, defence networks, and radar technologies.
He has held several key leadership roles, including General Manager of BEL’s Product Development & Innovation Centre and the Electronic Warfare & Avionics SBU. Mr. Jain's achievements have garnered him numerous awards, and he holds multiple patents for his innovative work.
