IIT Roorkee invites applications for certificate course in Sanskrit

The certificate course in Sanskrit called ‘Prathama Deeksha’ is being offered in association with Central Sanskrit University (CSU), New Delhi, and the last date to apply is December 15, 2022. 

Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee has invited applications for certificate course in Sanskrit called Prathama Deeksha. The course is being offered in association with Central Sanskrit University (CSU), New Delhi. The last date to apply is December 15, 2022. 

Those who wish to enrol in the course does not need to have prior knowledge of Sanskrit. CSU will provide study material along with an introductory session which will be hosted to share more details and clarify doubts about the course.  

IIT Roorkee tweeted, “We are delighted to announce that the admissions for  @iitroorkee certificate course in #Sanskrit called "Prathama Deeksha" in association with Central Sanskrit University (CSU) @CentralSanskrit New Delhi is now OPEN!”  

INR 1.30 crore highest domestic package at IIT Roorkee 

The highest international and domestic package offered during IIT Roorkee placements 2022-23 placements stood at INR 1.06 crore per annum and INR 1.30 crore per annum, respectively. Further, six international offers were made on Day 1 of IIT Roorkee placements 2023.  

Apart from this, 10 students got salary package of more than INR 80 LPA during IIT Roorke placements 2023. Importantly, a record 365 offers, including pre-placement offers (PPOs), were made on Day 1 of IIT Roorkee placements 2023. Major recruiters include Tata Steel, Uber and Bajaj Auto.
