JEE Advanced 2023 application form starts on April 30

IIT Guwahati has announced the JEE Advanced 2023 dates. JEE Advanced 2023 will be held on June 4. The online JEE Advanced 2023 application form will be available from April 30 to May 4, 2023. The fee applicable for JEE Main 2023 registration can be remitted by May 5.

JEE Advanced 2023 will be held in a computer-based test mode. The exam will be held in 2 shifts, from 9 am to 12 noon, and then from 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm. There will be 2 papers in the exam paper 1 will be held in shift 1 and paper 2 in shift 2.

Here are the 5 important things about JEE Advanced 2023 registrations that the candidates must take note of:

1. JEE Advanced 2023 eligibility to apply

To apply for JEE Advanced 2023, candidates must fulfil the following eligibility criteria:

  • Scores on JEE Main 2023: Candidates should be among the top 2,50,000 successful candidates (including all categories) in BE/BTech Paper of JEE (Main) 2023.
  • Age limit: Candidates should have been born on or after October 1, 1998. Five years age relaxation is given to SC, ST, and PwD candidates, i.e. these candidates should have been born on or after October 1, 1993.
  • Number of attempts: A candidate can attempt JEE (Advanced) a maximum of two times in two consecutive years.
  • Appearance in Class XII (or equivalent) examination: Candidates who passed class 12 in 2022 or 2023 are eligible for JEE Advanced 2023.
  • Earlier admission at IITs: A candidate should NOT have been admitted to an IIT irrespective of whether or not the candidate continued in the program OR accepted an IIT seat by reporting “online” / at a “reporting centre” in the past.

2. JEE Advanced 2023 application fee

The JEE Advanced 2023 application fee is as follows:

Indian Nationals (Including PIO/OCI)

Female Candidates (all categories)

INR 1,450

SC, ST, PwD Candidates

INR 1,450

All Other Candidates

INR 2,900

Foreign Nationals

Candidates from SAARC countries

USD 90

Candidates from non-SAARC countries

USD 180

The mode of payment of the application fee is online only.

3. Documents to keep handy to fill JEE Advanced 2023 application form

Candidates will have to upload scanned documents in the online form. The required documents are given below:

  1. Class X certificate if the date of birth is mentioned in it or the birth certificate
  2. Class XII (or equivalent examination) certificate
  3. Class XII (or equivalent examination) certificate
  4. If the candidate’s name is not the same as in the Class X certificate, a gazette notification showing the change of name
  5. Caste certificates as needed

4. JEE Advanced 2023 steps to apply for the exam

Candidates can check the steps to be taken while completing the JEE Advanced 2023 application form:

  • As the first step, every student needs to register through the official website by providing their JEE Main 2023 roll number, password, and security pin.
  • As the second step, students have to enter various personal details like their name, parents’ name, communication details, address details etc. in the specific columns of JEE Advanced 2023 application form.
  • Apart from the details, students will also need to upload scanned images of their passport-size photographs and signature.
  • After submitting all the details, students must take multiple printouts of the final application form for future requirements

5. JEE Advanced 2023 official website to apply

The official website to apply for JEE Advanced 2023 is jeeadv.ac.in. The last date to apply for the exam is May 4. Candidates must note that JEE Advanced application form cannot be submitted online. The forms can be only submitted on the official website. Also, no offline mode of JEE Advanced application process is available.

JEE Advanced qualifying candidates are then offered seats in IITs based on their course preference and JEE Advanced ranks via a common process by the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA). The courses offered by the IITs via JEE Advanced 2023 are BTech, BS, BArch, BTech and MTech dual degree, BS and MS dual degree, Integrated MTech, and Integrated MSc.
