JEE Advanced 2024 Exam Tomorrow: Know Things to Carry, Dress Code and Guidelines; Scribe Selection Today
JEE Advanced 2024 exam will be held tomorrow, May 26. The exam will be held on two shifts, shaft 1 will start at 9 am and shift 2 at 2:30 pm. Each shift will be of three hours. IIT Madras is all set to hold the JEE Advanced 2024 exam tomorrow, May 26. The exam will be held in CBT mode and around 2.5 lakh candidates will take the exam. To appear in the exam, the candidates have been issued the JEE Advanced admit card 2024 which is mandatory to be carried at the allotted JEE Advanced exam centre. The exam will be held across 229 cities in India and three cities outside India. There will be two papers, each containing three sections: Physics, Chemistry, and Maths. Candidates must attempt both papers 1 and 2 to be eligible for admission to the IITs. Paper 1 exam time is 9 am to 12 noon and the paper 2 exam time is 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm.

On the exam day, candidates must follow the JEE Advanced 2024 exam day guidelines and instructions as given on the admit card. Also, candidates must follow the JEE Advanced dress code to avoid problems in the frisking process.
Candidates will be allowed to exit the exam hall after paper 1 is over at 12 noon and again after the paper is over at 5:30 pm. No candidate will be allowed to exit the exam hall between each of the papers.
Candidates who have less than 40% disability and have difficulty in writing can select a scribe starting today, May 25 at jeeadv.ac.in.
JEE Advanced 2024 Exam Reporting Time and Instructions
Candidates have to report to the examination centre at 7 am on the day of the exam. After entry to the examination centre, identity verification, frisking and biometric capturing will be done before the commencement of both Paper 1 and Paper 2. After completing this process, candidates will be required to take their assigned seat in the examination hall by 08:30 am for Paper 1 and by 2:00 pm for Paper 2.
Candidates will be provided scribble pads for rough work at the exam hall. No candidate will be issued more than one scribble pad for rough work. Candidates must carry their own pen/pencil in the exam hall. Also, candidates are allowed to carry their own transparent water bottle and they can also take with them sanitizer in a small transparent bottle.
Documents to Carry
Candidates are required to carry a printed copy of the JEE Advanced 2024 admit card duly signed by them and their parent/guardian. The admit card is available for download at the official website, jeeadv.ac.in till May 26. Also, carry at least one ORIGINAL photo identity card (Aadhaar, School ID, Driving License, Voter ID, Passport, PAN Card).
Prohibited Items at the Exam Centre
Smart/digital/programmable watches, analogue watches, timepieces, mobile phones, Bluetooth devices, earphones, microphones, pagers, health bands, smart glasses or any other electronic gadgets, any printed/blank/handwritten paper, log tables, writing pads, scales, geometry/pencil-boxes, pouches, calculators, pen drives, electronic pens, wallets, handbags, goggles or similar items are NOT allowed inside the examination centre.
JEE Advanced Dress Code
Candidates are advised NOT to wear charm/tabeez, items containing metals such as rings, bracelets, earrings, nose pins, chains/necklaces, pendants, badges, brooches, hair pins, hair bands, clothes with big buttons. Candidates are advised to wear open footwear like chappals and sandals.
