JEE Advanced 2024: IIT Delhi to Conduct Open House on June 18 for Qualified Female and PwD Candidates

The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi is organising an Open House on June 18, 2024. The IIT Delhi Open House will be held in a hybrid mode – online and offline for female candidates and persons with disabilities (PwD) who have qualified for JEE Advanced 2024. As of now, the registration for the IIT Delhi Open House is ongoing at the official website.

The IIT Delhi Open House will take place from 9 AM to 4 PM and will be livestreamed on the institute's official YouTube channel (https://www.youtube.com/c/IITDelhiOfficial). Organised by the Initiative for Gender Equity & Sensitisation (IGES) and the Office of Accessible Education (OAE), this event is significant for promoting diversity and gender equity, aiming to encourage aspiring candidates to join IIT Delhi.

At the one-day event featuring interactive sessions, the JEE Advanced 2024 qualified female and PwD candidates will get an opportunity for one-on-one interaction with the Deans and IIT Delhi faculty members representing various academic departments, clarify their doubts about the programmes and courses, and understand the academic and career prospects in various disciplines.

The Open House will offer them the chance to learn about various scholarships, fellowships, and other resources available to support their academic journey at IIT Delhi. They will also have the opportunity to interact with current students, who will share their firsthand experiences of campus life, extracurricular activities, and the supportive community that awaits them.

They will be given a guided tour of the institute, allowing them to explore various campus facilities, including the library, hostels, eateries, and other infrastructure that contribute to an excellent learning experience. At the Open House, they will also learn about the support systems, accessibility options, academic accommodations, and assistive devices provided by the Office of Accessible Education.
